Margaritaville Beach Resort Playa Flamingo
6/10 Okay
"Very good. Staff was amazing, rooms were cleaned daily extremely well. Service and staff were very accommodating."

Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort
2/10 Terrible
"Honestly we felt catfished by this hotel. When we booked we thought the hotel looked amazing, but when we arrived we felt deceived. I can list all the horrible things we experienced starting with their towel policy. They give you tickets for pool towels which you can only get from the front desk which is across the street from our room. If you lose the towel or the ticket you have to pay $20 so that added extra stress to our stay. The hotel room is filled with bugs which sneak in under the front door that has a large gap from the floor. There is no extra entertainment when you are stuck indoors by the torrential rain. If there was a game room we were not aware of it because upon arrival we were not given much information. The breakfast was horrific. You check in with their host and she marks off your room number then says "have a great meal" and leaves you to search for an open table which they had none so you are left standing until someone leaves. The food itself was absolute garbage. The service was not memorable and we felt like everywhere you went someone was trying to get more money out of you. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone."

Hotel Riu Guanacaste - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"The facility is great. The hotel seems to be understaffed. They need more people on the restaurants to clean and maintain food. Food runs out, the kitchen is constantly running out of food trays. Also I noticed the chefs don’t use gloves. I think people handling food should always wear gloves to touch food."

Hampton By Hilton Guanacaste Airport

"Very clean, new, and well-kept property very close to the Guanacaste Airport. Nice pool area and close to many small restaurants, including a Starbucks."

Planet Hollywood Costa Rica by Royalton, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
8/10 Good
"The entire hotel is well designed with attention to details. Welcoming new guests with clap and drinks is a very nice touch! There are at least 6 bars. My favorite is the coffee shop Fuel. The staff is amazing. From servers to the entertainment team to the night shows’ team to the lobby folks. All were very pleasant and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel 👍"

Condovac la Costa
4/10 Poor
"Pools were great, but that was pretty much it. This is an older, has been resort. It has great potential, but they seem to skimp on everything. There were two of us in a family suite. Not a couple, just 2 female friends. They only would give us 2 towels and 1 hand towel, and no wash cloths, even when requested more. We were told that’s all they give for 2 people. There were lots of bugs in the room. Little flying ants mostly, but we still don’t want them in the bed. The bar was limited on drinks they could provide (no mojitos, sangria, even simple popular drinks). Food options were minimal. Not buffet style. And 2 options, typically chicken with rice or pasta and pork chops. It all tasted the same, clearly leftovers from day to day. Fruit was also limited. Dessert looked like Little Debbie’s desserts. The beach was fine but beach lounges are falling apart both at beach and the pool. Not a place I would return or recommend."
