The COVID-19 outbreak may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't dampened our zest for exploring. Here are some tips on how to navigate the new challenges of travelling:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• You're required to wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• You're permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your hand luggage. This will need to be removed for screening.
• To minimize handling during the screening process, place items such as your phone, keys and wallet into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• If you're taking food through the security checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for inspection.
