"Spacious well appointed room which was clean. Only small gripe was we found the pillows too soft. Great parking. Very handy shopping and many eating options only a 3 minute walk. In room laundry facilities great."

"Always nice to stay at Emerald Inn. Handy location. Sadly there was very noisy roadworks the night that I stayed, so not a lot of sleep. Nothing that the staff could fix, obviously, but a shame nonetheless. "

"Way beyond expectations. We booked with the expectation of a room with a view. We were delighted with the private penthouse suite. Better and bigger than our apartment. It had not one but two rooms with a magnificent view of Devonport wharf and Waitemata harbour."

"Great welcome considering owner had recently suffered severe flooding. Good advice for Restaurants but be careful the Irish Bar with a 10% discount gives very high helpings. We shared a plate"

"Very complicated check in. The people from the motel wanted to charge me extra $100 for using a visa debit instead of a credit card. The money had already been taken from my bank account when I booked online but they insisted I have to give then extra $100 they would refund when I check out. Looked like a scam to me. Never had something like that in NZ before. "
