"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a good experience from start to finish. The check-in process was quick and the staff were welcoming, professional, and eager to help with anything I needed. My room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable — the bed made for a great night's sleep. The location was also perfect, with easy access to restaurants, transportation, and nearby attractions. I really appreciated the small touches like complimentary water, quality toiletries, and the overall quiet atmosphere. Housekeeping did a great job each day, keeping the room clean and well stocked. "Simply the hotel was superb - the rooms are larger than you would generally get in Japan and the quality of the fittings and cleanliness was top rate. We enjoyed the 'rain' shower - probably the best that we experienced in any hotel. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday - if I had a small complaint, there wasnt any closet space only a rail with a few coat hangers. The bed was very comfortable and the room had blackout curtains - and well the toilet is to die for - I need one of these at home The hotel in an excellent position, just opposite from NIJO station which has both underground and overground connections, so it was easy getting anywhere in Kyoto - we were only 2 stops from Kyoto station (where you can get the bullet train and the direct train to Osaka Kansai Airport). Around the station there are convenience stores, supermarkets and many places to eat. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as it was too expensive Y2,000 each, so tried a number of different coffee shops where breakfast for four was around Y2,500. I would certainly recommend the hotel - we used it as our base to visit Osaka, Hiroshima, Nara and Tokyo (although for here we stayed at another hotel in Tokyo for 3 nights) but retained our room at the Royal Park."
