You'll find the lavender fields in full bloom in June and early July, which is a spectacular sight, and the vineyards are at their most picturesque during the harvest season in September and October. For those who prioritize a relaxed atmosphere and cooler temperatures, May and late September are ideal. The markets are still bustling, and restaurants are fully operational, but you'll have more space to enjoy the local attractions and the general pace of life feels a little slower. This can be particularly appealing for couples looking for a romantic getaway, as they can enjoy leisurely meals and strolls through the villages without feeling rushed. If you're planning a trip around specific events like grape harvests or local festivals, late summer and early autumn (August to October) can be very rewarding.
