Search Newnes Plateau hotels

The best time to visit Newnes Plateau is during the autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) months.

These seasons offer the most comfortable weather for exploring the area's natural beauty. You'll find mild temperatures, generally sunny days, and less chance of extreme heat or cold, which makes outdoor activities like hiking and canyoning much more enjoyable.

For those keen on outdoor adventures, particularly hiking through the canyons or exploring the Glow Worm Tunnel, spring and autumn provide ideal conditions. The tracks are typically drier, and the moderate temperatures prevent overheating during strenuous walks, making for a more pleasant and extensive exploration of the plateau's unique geological formations.

Winter (June to August) can also be a good option for visitors who don't mind cooler weather, especially if you're interested in cosying up by a fire after a day of exploring. However, some tracks might be muddy, and nights can get quite cold.
