Great location, fantastic staff, and hotel has a great bar that gets quite busy. It wasn’t a major issue for us but if you’re looking for a quieter night away be aware area around hotel can be a bit noisy outside later at night.

Pleasant stay

Good stay , nice room and bathroom. The music down stairs to loud some nights. Difficult to rest with loud music. People on staff very friendly and polite.

Great Place

First time at The Caledonian and it won’t be the last. Excellent check in, very friendly. Lovely room, felt very homely. Lovely touches with the bed linen and towels.

Tatty single rooms

Room was very dated and tatty . The bathroom around the radiator pipes was thick with dust . This hotel was boasting a refurb in 2021 I think they forgot the single rooms as a friend also stayed and his room was the same . 2 other friends had a double room which was nice .

Have stayed here many times before but this room was smaller than previously - it only had 2 power points so you had to decide between TV, kettle or charging your phone! The only other points were round pin!!! Room was also exceptionally hot Having the EV charger makes up for the minor issues though

It says Free parking at the hotel, but no parking spaces were available. Staff vehicles were parked at their carpark yet none was moved. This resulted in me parking opposite the hotel, where I was charged a parking ticket as apparently the hotel doesn’t even have “residents permit” like other hotels do. The room was clean, the food was great (I had creamy mushrooms and pesto pasta)! But you need to sort your parking..
