We got there to be told no rooms available despite booking over a month ago, the man on reception was very unhelpful and did not even try to suggest a solution. We had to book alternative hotel at such short notice we were miles away from city centre
Well... where to start?
I would begin to rate this property at 0* if i could, simply the WORST i have ever stayed
Upon checking in, the acommodation charged us a ‘deposit’ of £20.00 therefore totalling to £60.00, which was NOT highlighted in the hotels terms on expedia when reserving the room
Upon arriving at the room, the condition or layout looked nothing that were shown on the hotels description, and apparently this was an ‘upgrade’ 😮🤔, cracked walls, no curtain on the shower?
The following morning my friends decided to shower and had placed a towel on the chair to save this getting wet. Unfortunately, this had left a SMALL wet patch on the chair... when trying to check out, i was faced with a man who had the most rude and awful customer service i have ever witnessed in the industry, he stated that the stain left on the chair was alcohol, i stated in my defence this was not the case and was a simple patch of water left from the towel...
I had as a result lost £20.00 of my deposit...
Overall
Staff rude
Rooms not up to standard
Hotels terms not updated correctly
Would not recomment
Our room, though a good size stank of smoke , the blind was completely missing on the window , there was a large wet patch on the carpet and the shower door was broken . Very disappointing
It was good for what you pay, great location and friendly staff. Stayed over on my birthday and staff had put up banners and balloons which was great. Room was clean and hotel
We stayed 1 night as we went the Ed Sheeran concert it was in walking distance to the stadium wich was amazing the beds are not comfy but it was ok for 1 night! It was clean and staff were friendly
I stayed with my friend as we were going to watch a concert. It is close to the city centre, about a 10/15 minuite wall. Stag all friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and good fercilities.

Great...if your drunk
When getting to the hostel, it wasn’t in the nicest area of Newcastle but wasn’t far from the Centre. When at reception we had to pay an additional £40 deposit which would be redeemed upon inspection at the end of the stay. There was nothing on the Expedia website about this and the document that I had was to sign asked for card details including number which I refused to give as I didn’t know about the destroying of this document.
When entering our room, which was very clean and adequate for the 2 of us, the window was broken and had to ask several times to get this fixed. We were out of the hotel for 6 hours and window still wasn’t fixed when we got back as ‘it had been very busy’ (3 of the rooms were empty).
We were woken up several times by other guests getting in from a night out and many of these were kicked out in the night due to their behavior.
If you are wanting a bed for when you get in drunk this is your place, but would never return. The staff were not helpful and didn’t really care as long as they were getting your money.
Arrived to find the hostel not open , after numerous phone calls a member of stall arrived 10-30pm to let us in saying it wasn't open , we were allowed to stay , other people were also there, card machine didn't work so had to go find cash machine. Room appeared to have unused fog a while , noisy throughout the night and obviously unmanned !!
Overall an unpleasant experience
Very very rude staff. Absoloutely o respect at all. Found cigerette butt in the room. Room floor was dirty.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
No towels in the room? Was an en-suit, also toilet had urine sitting in it when we arrived. Other than that it was alright considering we just needed a place to lay our heads for a couple of hours.
People in the hotel were banging on our doors at stupid aclock. The people on charge did nothing about it. Very loud in the whole hotel don't go there unless you don't want to sleep at all.
Pros: Easy to find, good value, decent sized room, clean.
Cons: Creaky bed, a strong musty smell in the room, there was a kettle and a few tea bags but no milk, sugar or a spoon!
