"Great place, lovely food "

"The building and grounds is steeped in history and is absolutely beautiful. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful in so many ways I can't even begin to tell you as there wouldn't be enough room here! We were upgraded as it was my husbands 40th birthday, which was a lovely surprise, and there was a birthday card and big bar of chocolate waiting in our room (which had premium brands of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc etc). We had the pool and sauna etc to ourselves on the first use and was quiet on the second and was a really lovely way to relax after a day exploring the Cotswolds. Dinner in the main restaurant and atrium bar was delicious (dined in restaurant twice and atrium once). A thoroughly enjoyable break and birthday celebration for my husband who was blown away by the whole thing (it was kept a secret til the moment we pulled up, which certainly gave the wow factor I had hoped for!)"

After letting the team know about our special dietary requirements (gluten-free), the manager was outstanding in ensuring we were fully accommodated — to the point that the service surpassed what I’ve experienced in some so-called 5-star hotels. A special mention to Evie, who was an absolute delight. Our room was clean and beautifully presented — a testament to excellent housekeeping."

"We had the most delightful stay at the lovely Ewelme Manor House in Dursley. The home is full of character, blending traditional charm with modern comforts. The garden, pool and outdoor dining area are exquisite and provided the perfect backdrop for a family reunion and Celebration of Life. The location was ideal—tucked away in a peaceful village, it’s just a five minute walk to town center yet the property is surrounded in gorgeous, mature trees (several redwoods) that evoke the feeling of seclusion. Towns like Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are about 30 minutes away and did not disappoint. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided clear instructions and helpful local recommendations. It truly felt like a home away from home."
