About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
A one bedroom self catering property in an idyllic valley setting.
The Shed is situated in the most beautiful valley with far reaching views. Good for walks, and relaxing. Wotton-under-Edge, Dursley and Tetbury all within a short driving distance. Lots of wonderful wildlife and farm animals nearby. The property consists of a sitting room, bathroom with over head shower over the bath, a small kitchen and a double bedroom. It is very cosy.
Please note The New Inn pub has now closed.
* Please note that access into the valley is on narrow lanes. The road is un even and so you will need to drive very slowly if in a low car. Our drive is also uneven so please drive slowly. You need to be made aware of these things before booking. Incidentally this is what makes The Shed so unique, is it's ruralness!
It is also important you follow the directions I send you as you need to avoid the "whiteway" road into the valley. *
We request that our guests strip the bed at the end of their stay and place sheets and towels in the basket provided, and make sure all their washing up has been washed up and put away.

lovely setting and antonia provided essential groceries and a lovely home baked cake which were really appreciated. So peaceful and wonderful views. Just perfect.
A great base for taking in the surrounding area. The Shed has everything you need and is beautifully and comfortably decorated. A highlight was the walk to the Tyndall Monument and climbing to the top...the views were amazing
We really enjoyed our stay - especially the beautiful sunsets. The beautifully converted shed is cosily furnished and offers everything you need, and shopping facilities are also nearby. The location is nice and quiet in the countryside, yet a good base for trips to the Cotswolds or for walks. The hostess Antonia made us feel very welcome. (Greetings also to Crispy from me ;-) )
This was a lovely little shed in the Cotswolds. So quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a getaway. They said the roads were narrow, and they for sure we're. So be prepared to drive slow.
The Shed is a fabulous property in a perfect location for getting away from it all. Views were brilliant particularly at sunset. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The milk and cakes were an extra lovely treat.
It was one of the most breath taking country places to stay. To wake up and see this amazing view, so quiet and peaceful. We stayed for 3 nights and and ate breakfast and evening meals there as we wanted to make the most of the tranquil experience. A little tricky navigating the tiny roads at times but all part of the fun. The Shed is a lovely cost place to stay.
Great little property, just right for the two of us and our dogs. The scenery us amazing, and the location perfect. The driveway could be a struggle for a small/sports car, and the surrounding lanes not for the fainthearted!
Gorgeous place, in the most tranquil spot imaginable. It's truly beautiful.
Antonia is a fantastic host -
The property is immaculate!
It's perfect for a couple, and despite it's somewhat "off the beaten track" location, it's within short driving distances of towns and local attractions.
We're looking forward to heading back there soon
The location of the property was amazing . Very peaceful with some beautiful walks. The property was lovely and had everything that we needed. The cake and groceries were a very kind gesture. Antonia was lovely . Would definitely love to come back .
Joe and I had a wonderful stay at The Shed.
The space and size were perfect and exactly what we were looking for in a English countryside cottage stay. The bed was comfortable. We spent plenty of time in the cozy living room reading and relaxing. The kitchen was serviceable. The heaters took a bit of time to get going but they put out plenty of heat to keep the space warm.
My husband was working at times and if we were both using the internet it was a little slow. Not a huge issue for me as I was happy to spend plenty of time sleeping in and reading books and magazines. If you’re truly looking to disconnect from the world the internet shouldn’t be much of an issue! The bathroom was a good size, and it was nice to have the towel warmer. The shower head wasn’t great for washing hair, it sprayed about a bit.
Overall, a lovely place to stay and we would come back if we ever got the chance. It’s beautiful at the property and the surrounding area, so peaceful and quiet. I adored saying hello to Florence and Primrose and the neighboring cows even made an appearance which was great. We would recommend staying at The Shed!
Questionable road quality leads you to a spectacular location. Property looks tired in places with paint flaking, window painted closed and stained toilet bowl along with black grout in places on the tiles around the bath. The kitchen mixer tap is not secure and has a taped note on the wall by way of apology for this. The microwave is on top of a small counter top fridge and was a bit daunting to use (we are not very tall). The fridge is shown in the booking pics but we didn't notice how small the fridge was. Normally we would have a full week of shopping delivered to where we are staying but changed our minds last minute thankfully. The host Antonia was lovely and welcoming on arrival and very quickly resolved an issue with the bottom sheet on the bed our first night which, Antonia assured us, was caused by her new steam iron. The replacement bedding was crisp and clean having just been bought the day after and put through the washing machine and ironed.
The lounge was very comfortable and was welcoming after a days out at The Forrest of Dean and Badminton Horse Trials. We witnessed some breath taking sunsets in the valley of Waterley Bottom where the property is located.
We really enjoyed everything,

We were looking for a quiet getaway in the countryside, and this place was absolutely perfect. A lovely cosy place in a beautiful area, with a wonderful host!
Woah. What a stunning property. My cousin and I had a wonderful time staying at the shed. It was exactly what we were looking for, beautiful landscapes, wildlife, and farm animals!
Spent a couple of nights at The Shed whilst visiting family in Bristol and its just a shame we didn't have more time to spend there. It's a lovely place to stay in an absolutely stunning location! Antonia provided very detailed information on how to get there and info on the local amenities. Also left us milk ,bread, butter, jam and cake, which was lovely. Great communication. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful surroundings! Thanks Antonia!
Lovely functioning mildly old school cabin in the middle of the country side. Very comfortable bed. We found everything we needed. Our dogs were content. Very quiet. Lots of helpful comms with Antonia. We’d stay again. Previous reviews somewhat amusing….”questionable road quality”…..have these people ever left the city? We enjoyed The Shed.
Antonia, the property manager was very welcoming and helpful before and during our stay. The Shed sits down the hill from the main house, on its own, and overlooks beautiful green rolling hills, tucked up in the country. Roads are a bit tricky but Antonia gives great directions and WAZE also helps. We were on a 4 day holiday from the U.S. and The Shed had everything we needed and was decorated so nicely. We loved the sheep as well. It was the perfect countryside getaway for some needed R&R. Thank you, Antonia, we hope to be back again one day!
Really beautiful little house in an amazing landscape. Very clean and with everything you need for a relaxing time. Antonia and her husband are really nice people who helped us out with advices for hiking trails and restaurants. We would love to come back
Probably the nicest shed we'll ever stay in! Set in a gorgeous valley and very peaceful, we loved this place and although we only stayed one night, we felt very relaxed and like we'd been on a retreat the next day! There was plenty of tea and some home-made cake waiting for us upon arrival too, which was very welcome. Definitely recommend and we hope to stay again sometime! Thanks Antonia!
Great "Getaway" spot. Peace & quiet. Very sweet & nicely presented. Some interesting lanes to get in & out but contributed to the feeling of getting away from the rat race. Hosts very accommodating.
