"Kathy was absolutely delightful, making us feel so welcomed! It’s a great area to stay in, easy to walk to the shops/restaurants in Ocean Grove, the beach and a short walk to Asbury Park. It was raining so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful courtyard area of the Inn. And we had to leave early for an event and didn’t get to enjoy breakfast. Wonderful place to stay and we look forward to going back!"

"Very cute B&B. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was up on the top 3 rd floor. Slanted ceilings, easy to bump you head. We had 2 queen beds. No way could 2 people sleep in a bed; the inside person would bump their head when they sat up. Had to climb over a high tub to get in, and use a spray hose to was up. Lots of towels, soaps, lotions provided. "

"Honestly, everything about the Mathis House is wonderful. The home is magnificent and well maintained, keeping its original Victorian beauty both inside and outside. My room was super comfortable and charming. The best part about my stay was engaging with the host, Vicki. Vicki went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and welcome. It would have been nice if they had a list of good recommended restaurants in the area, with contact information. We got info from Google & Trip Advisor, but we prefer local knowledge.
