The Galle Face Hotel is a truly exceptional place to stay. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Colombo and on the beach. The actual building is beautfiul, a majestic old colonial. The rooms are spacious and airy. The staff and service are second to none. There is a lovely salt water pool and a gym - plus great bar and restaurant.

stayed here on the last day of our trip. This was an exceptional hotel. Clean, modern and the attention to detail is surperb. From the moment we walked through the door Shamin and Nethmi looked after us. They made check in a breeze, cold towels on arrival and a lovely refreshing drink. They took us to our room, and showed us around the magnificent hotel. We arrived in Colombo and our driver from the hotel was waiting for us with a big smile on his face. We went straight to Aathma (means soul in Sanskrit and boy did it have soul!!) From the second we arrived the second we left, we felt welcomed, at home, and so at peace with the beautiful surroundings of architecture, nature and people. Friendly and willing to help staff, best buffet breakfast

From checkin to checkout and inbetween the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Always smiling and never too busy to stop and say hello. Reception staff were extremely courteous and willing to help no matter what the request was. A very happy and positive vibe all throughout the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Conveniently located. Incredible hotel, Erenga at reception was really lovely and helped us sort out an issue with our room. The customer service was unmatched. The breakfast was also phenomenal!
