"The property seems to be recently updated, it is modern, and clean. The amenity is lacking a few things (for example, it tells the guest to wash dishes and put them away but doesn’t provide a clothe to dry them). Also, the instruction isn’t super clear. The instruction reads to leave the key on the table when checking out (that’s what it says literary in English), when in fact you need to lock and put the key in the lockbox as one example. Also the road to access the property is quite narrow...

"A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). The meals lived up to the reviews, beautifully presented true kaiseki."

"Very nice and comfortable staying in centre of Nara, close to many restaurants and shops and Nara Park. The staff was great, good breakfast and clean and wide rooms. "

"Wonderful hotel. Great location, lovely rooms, self check in is such an easy and wonderful way to operate. One of my favorite hotels in Japan. Will be back again. Can’t recommend enough. "

"Absolutely gorgeous place, super close to Nara park. After hiking to Mount Wakakusa my wife and I enjoyed the private hot springs. It was surreal enjoying the hot water while listening to the rain in the rock garden area. We would definitely come back if we find ourselves in Nara. "

"I stayed in 7 different hotels during my 5 week Asia trip and this would probably rank at 1 or 2. I stayed in the standard twin room (23SQM). The finishes and decor was top notch, and that washroom was so nice. Clean, sleak and had an amazing shower. My 5yr old said he loved the shower. Check in and out took maybe 5 mins each. Staff helped with luggage delivery to our next hotel. Size wise, I would say with 3 ppl and 5 luggages it did make our room a bit cramped. For Japan standards though it was better than our hotel in Tokyo.
Location wise, there's a convenience store, bakery and subway station right outside the hotel."
