"In a residential neighborhood just past the upper edge of the business area, we enjoyed the quiet street and short walk to everything. We understand that the home once belonged to a sea captain. Now, it is up-to-date (but not too modern) where it counts, freshly painted, clean and comfortable. The HVAC system was quiet and it maintained our temperature setting during a few days of cool weather. The continental breakfast was excellent - from the spinach souffle (?) to the chocolate...

"The Brass Lantern was great. Sharon was wonderful and welcoming. The continental breakfast was wonderful. We appreciated having the home baked foods and warm cookies at 5 pm. Very nice outdoor space! My only comment would be that the rooms in the entry and living rooms could be noisy as people spent time in those rooms; we played cards in the both the dining and living rooms and tried to be quiet but it was very easy to hear a phone call from the rooms. "
