"First timer in a hostel and RadZone didn’t disappoint. It was a gentle foray into this strange unfamiliar land of shared spaces and no talking zones, ha. Let me be clear- RadZone is not a “budget” hostel, from my understanding of them, but for Singapore, it was still quite a deal for a full size bed in a shared space that goes all the way up to the ceiling (no capsules for this lady!!) The sliding screen provides a physical barrier but is not a door- this can be a good thing when it’s sweltering...

"The 30 Bencoolen is located near the downtown line which connects to other lines which makes touring easy. Art museum is nearby and restaurants are nearby. During my stay there did not appear to be meal service in the hotel. The highlight is a nice lap rooftop pool which is well maintained."

Hotel is walking distance to vast variety of restaurants along the river walkway as well. "Location and staff were great. There were little flies and ants in my room and on my last night the aircon started leaking very loudly. In saying this they where offering pest control spraying for the rooms and when I went down to reception at 5am to say I couldn’t sleep due to the loud dripping of the aircon they gave me another room right away. "I booked this property last minute without doing a lot of research as I just needed an overnight spot. I was extremely pleased. Our room was freshly renovated and by Singapore standards fairly spacious. Rooms well designed to maximize space. Bathroom is a bit unconventional with a water closet set up for the shower and the toilet and the sink with storage between those and the bedroom area. Worked well and there’s also a desk and a cozy window seat. Pool area is gorgeous, gym well equipped...
