There isn’t much to do nearby in the summer, as the mountain is private (and quite strictly so), but it’s only about a 30-minute drive to fishing on the Waiau River or biking in and around town. "

"I love staying at the Alpine Adventure Park. Always helpful friendly staff, rooms spotlessly clean, comfy bed and affordable on a budget. Love the parklike grounds and so close to the pools and town. It is the perfect spot if you are travelling with children, there is a lovely playground."
