This area offers stunning sea views and convenient access to two of the region's most significant attractions. The main road, Via Romana, winds along the coastline, connecting the various villas and hotels. It's a relatively quiet area, known for its natural beauty and elegant residences, making it great for a relaxing getaway.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find this area particularly appealing. You can spend your days exploring the beautiful terraces and exotic plants of the Hanbury Botanical Gardens, followed by a leisurely dinner with views of the Mediterranean. The proximity to the Balzi Rossi Caves also offers a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric times.

The best time to visit Mortola Inferiore is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to early October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.

During these periods, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the botanical gardens and enjoying the coastline without the intense heat or larger tourist numbers of mid-summer. The sea is still warm enough for swimming in early autumn, and the natural beauty of the Ligurian landscape is at its peak.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will particularly appreciate these months. You can enjoy strolls through the Hanbury Botanical Gardens in peace, dine at local restaurants with ease, and find more availability for top hotels, often at better rates.

Families travelling with younger children might also find these times more manageable.
