An 800 villa in the Tuscan countryside - a quiet place - pool - culture

"What a beautiful property set against an absolutely stunning backdrop. This truly was a once in a lifetime holiday and if you are seeking peace and tranquility, a beautiful old villa (perfectly cool and dark for those very hot days!) and a warm, congenial host, this is it. Guido and Barbara went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, from sharing info on the local area, to lending us clothes when our cases didn’t arrive and a gin and tonic and nibbles on our last evening. Thoroughly recommend!"

"We visited four very different parts of Italy and our stay at Fattoria Lavacchio may have been our favorite. One important thing to know that was a little tricky to figure out was that you check-in at “Casabella”. The property belonging to Fattoria Lavacchio includes multiple buildings spread along 1km or so of the road. Our room ended up being an apartment about 300m from Casabella (the building in the pictures here with the pool). There was not traditional a/c but we didn’t need it with the fans and air coolers they provided. We also loved sleeping with the windows wide open and no need for screens because no bugs!! Even in the hottest part of the summer!! We love star gazing at night, cooking class overlooking the winery, horseback riding, and dinner on the patio by the pool. We also enjoyed the breakfast with fresh juices and jams made there at Fattoria Lavacchio. They also make their own olive oil. We felt very relaxed and refreshed after our visit there. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Gorgeous place, amazing views. They overbooked dinner and we had a wait of 2 hours for our food to come out. Pool was amazing and there was two to choose from, one looked quieter. Main part of the building is 15th century, which was beautiful. Easy to find with google maps NOT Apple Maps. Plenty of parking."

"Merci à Renate pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse. Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite dans un havre de paix, le logement correspondant parfaitement aux photos présentées sur le site. Les derniers 500M pour y arriver semblent impressionnants, mais accessible à tout véhicule classique. Très pratique: Une gare pour rejoindre Florence en train, avec parking gratuit, située à quelques KM"

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great time. It was a very cute villa and had an above ground pool with an amazing view. The family does stay next door in their house, but we did not have any disruptions. They were quick to reply and help up check in and out. They left us snacks and wine, and were very hospitable! Would definitely recommend this stay."

A Panoramic Tuscan Luxury - Villa Maria in Fronzano

"The villa and property was spectacular and immaculate. We were warmly greeted by our host upon arrival and given a comprehensive introduction of the property and necessary information. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the bedding was very comfortable. All of the bathrooms had new fixtures , hand painted walls and it felt like a personal spa on each floor. The pool was immaculately maintained by our host. Every need was anticipated-from pool floats to a pool house with a fridge and separate bathroom / shower. The flowering plants and trees around the villa were absolutely beautiful and fragrant. We felt pampered as if we were at a five star resort. Our hosts olive oil was delicious and we would highly recommend hiring the personal chef ( Donato) to cook a meal or two. The meals we had were exceptional. Our host was friendly , responsive , attentive and respectful of our time and privacy. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Maria and hope to return with my family in the future."
