"Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. If I visit Kyoto again I would love to stay here again."

In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. "What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon.We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...
