"Check in was busy but the 2 reception guys were very efficient. Room was a little tired and very cold - couldn’t work out how to turn the aircon off and the light system was complicated. I ate in the Lounge Bar and the staff there were great, felt I couldn’t hear myself over the music - was quite loud. Food was fantastic! Didn’t sleep very well!! Breakfast was brilliant- wanted to say thank you to a fantastic member of staff that assisted me, went out of her way to find out allergen information as I have coeliac- thank you so much Sarah - you were amazing! "

"The Leopold Hotel was amazing! The room was lovely and so comfortable. We enjoyed the room service and the room was squeaky clean. Would certainly return for more than one night to explore Sheffield more. We stayed here to be close to the train station after our visit to Chatsworth house. "

"My partner and I booked a suite at the Novotel for 2 days as we were visiting Sheffield to watch the World Snooker Semi Finals. The hotel could hardly be better situated for the snooker as it is a 5 minute walk from the Crucible Theatre, right next door to the Winter Gardens. The hotel suite was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were really helpful. We had a slight problem with the coffee machine in the room but a hotel manager sorted that out for us within minutes of our mentioning it. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide range of choices. The hotel has its own indoor car park at a charge of £15 per day at the time of writing. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay. We're planning to go back to the Novotel for a bit longer next year."

"Place was nice but walls are bare thin and you can hear next door all night, when I raised this with the front desk they just shrug their shoulders. On the other side the gym was good and the staff manning it were extremely helpful and polite."
