We received a phone call as we were about to board our flight that we couldn’t stay at our reserved location, The West Avenue Studios. There was an emergency and they were offering for us to cancel for free. We had no other choice but to accept a new location offered. Although the host was accommodating and welcoming, we had reservations and plans for our first location. The new assigned location room was the size of a dorm room, not at all what we had hoped for or expected. We spent our entire flight worrying if we would have a place to stay the night before our cruise. Not sure who to request a refund through at this point. The room was off a Main Street and noisy. We feel as though we had no option to accept as we had no where to stay for the night before the cruise.

Overall stay was good. However, check-in was quite inconvenient. The lady I spoke to was unprofessional and disorganized. I was told that I would receive check-in information day of arrival so I waited but did not receive any messages. I waited until 2:45pm to call (check-in was 3pm). It was an inconvenience for us since we didn’t have wifi and connection was bad. Also, the listing of the property says the room comes with an electric stovetop. We planned on making food at the hotel but there was no electric stovetop available. I would not recommend this place to anyone due to the inconveniences of checking-in.
