"Really attractive and nicely furnished converted old building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was just about perfect. Garai is a lovely village and has two magnificent restaurants within a 10 minute walk, ideal for the tasting menu with accompanying wines. A little fitness is needed as the walk up to the hotel from the car park is quite strenuous and there are a few flights of stairs if you are in one of the upper rooms. "Great hotel beautifully apportioned. Room: + very spacious and the bed was very confortable. - lack of hooks to hang wet towels etc. Swimming pool only open during the summer - closed from mid Sep. Part of the reason we booked (small honeymoon) here was to have a few days by the pool had we known it would have influenced our decision. Location: + peaceful and quiet. not far by bus into the town around 20min on busy day and 15min when less busy. bus stop right outside hotel can use contactless by card. very easy to navigate. - Taxi we found a little trickier to find in quieter parts of town say Antiguo and buses do not run that late. Spa +excellent. - to access the Spa indoor pool and sauna comes at a cost which is notable when the outdoor pool is closed. Food +excellent both breakfast at the restaurant "
