Wonderful place to stay in Ruchmond

Stayed here Jan 4th to Jan 12th 2024 in an amazing two bed with terrace. Apartment facilities were excellent, beautifully furnished, fab bathrooms and an amazingly well stocked kitchen/laundry. Location is excellent for the city with trams just outside. Would highly recommend!

Our stay at Caroline Apartments was fabulous. We were so surprised when we checked in and the apartments way surpassed our expectations. They were modern, clean, spacious, well set out, warm, cosy and comfortable! We were able to easily walk to the MCG, Rod Laver Arena, AAMI area and the array of restaurants and cafes close by was amazing. The staff at the Caroline Apartments are friendly and welcoming and were able to accommodate all our needs whilst being super pleasant. We will definitely be staying here next time we visit Melbourne. 11/10!

This is the second time I have stayed at Caoline Service Appartments and I enjoyed it as much as the last. It is fast becoming my "go to" for Melbourne Accomodation. The property is clean and well maintained the staff are friendly (They looked after our bags after check out so we could have brunch without dragging luggage around.) Previously I stayed in a 2 bedroom appartment and foubd it spacious and well appointed. This time I stayed in a studio and while much smaller it still had everything we needed. The aircon was switched on when we arrived and there was welcoming music playing. There are tram stops that will take you to the inner city less than 5 minutes walk from the front door a coles 7 minutes down the street and so many cafes eateries etc that you are spoilt for choice.

The apartment is a modern new build in a great spot. Near restaurants and cafes, booking through Expedia was great but when I had to extend my stay booking through the actual Caroline apartment office at the building it cost me $345 per night which was very disappointing I wouldn’t have payed that amount if I wasn’t stuck. It left a sour taste in my mouth and probably won’t stay there again.

OK but could be so much better

This property is fresh and new. The architecture is also modern and contemporary. The location is good too. The staff were very friendly, efficient and communicated well but aren’t provided with solutions to problems by management/owners. An issue that cant be fixed, for the room I had at least, was that it had a view only to an internal courtyard with just the smallest patch of sky visible above. Some might not care but I prefer to avoid properties that have these rooms, but I was unable to on this occaision as there is no indication rooms like this exist on their website. Things that can be fixed to improve the property are: 1. The timber floor creaked like a haunted house 2. Shower hot water at maximum hot couldn’t hardly be described as hot – maybe because I was so cold in my room - see below 3. Seeminly every door adjuster isnt adjusted properly. Doors in the hall were slamming until late at night and started at 6am – so no going to bed early or sleeping in and the main issue: 4. The property's website says "Individually controlled ducted heating and air conditioning" but this wasnt the case for me. After much frustration I now know that the Daikin VRV system they have installed is shared between adjacent rooms such that if your neighbour leaves theirs on cool mode but its 13C outside you cant select heating – as happened to me. My room became chilly as the outside temperature dropped which made the lack of a properly hot shower even more disapointing.
