10/10 Excellent

"There was a sutuation with the Air Conditioning be out when we checked in.The young lady checking us in explained that it was not the hotels fault and that the problems were being worked on. A/C was restored that morning. While checking in at 10:00 pm, waiting in a very warm lobby because of the A/C situation mentionef above, was next in line .A front desk agent appeared to be available when another person staying at the hotel walked to the front desk agent (a young lady there) and pulled out his cell phone and started a conversation about what and where he and the family had gone for dinner. When he turned around and realized that there was a line of people waiting to check in, I think he sincerely felt that he was holding up the check in process and made note of his approach to the desk agent. The front desk agent raised her hand as if to dismiss the line of people and continued with the conversation. She did not check me and the wife in, the agent to the left of her did and she did a great job. I felt a little slighted by what she did. I did take note that the agent did do her job and started to check in other people in line. I'm from the U.S. and African American. Don't know if that had anything to do with anything. "

Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport

"There are two Hilton Hotels at the airport. One is contiguous within the airport and you walk to it. The Hilton Garden requires you to take a bus that stops frequently to other hotels but comes every 15 minutes and it is usually almost full. The hotel is very busy and I waited at least one hour to just check in for a pre-paid stay because they only had 2 people handling so many new customers. The breakfast, while included and buffet, it is not of great quality. They drop you off and pick you up at Arrivals on Terminal 3. It was not easy to identify the pick up point and we wasted one hour looking for it. You are better staying in Rome at a hotel like IQ Hotel which is more refined and with better amenities, close to the train station and take the Leonardo Train for $22 EU per person which drops you off inside the airport and the ride takes 20-30 min."

"Spacious room quite clean and new. I was just expecting something a bit 'higher quality' given the price. Also, the hallway design (passing by hundreds of rooms and very simple hallway/ corridor) feels a bit like 'prison' and not matching the wonderful entrance experience. Rooftop bar is a great surprise and offering best view over the city!"

"These was one of the nicest hotels we ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. We just got engaged and this was our last spot before heading home to Toronto. We were upgraded and when we went out for a bit and came back, they had left a bottle of bubbles, some chocolate cake, and the sweetest note from their rust relations team. The rooms and hotel are just stunning. Highly recommended. Little far from where all the touristy spots are but super quick and easy to get uber or bolt. We didn’t realize there was a complimentary shuttle that can take you there though so also super helpful! Restaurants are super expensive in there but we did eat at Soul and it was delish! There is also a Lidl grocery close by for snacks or booze - super convenient!!"

"Overall this is a 5 star Hotel. The room was great and housekeeping was excellent, the breakfast staff and food choices at the buffet were good to accommodate anyone's taste and preferences, the coffee machine was down on our last day but the staff was quick to make our coffee of choice and bring it to our table. The staff was very good when I had question about the Metro service, which we took advantage of since the taxi fees can add up quick, it is a great way to get around and sometimes quicker than a taxi due to traffic. Easy once you figure out the entry and exit, and destinations to get around anywhere in Barcelona. The only shortcoming was at the check in when we arrived early due to coming in of a cruise ship, we had to wait until check in time which was 3PM, we arrived around 9AM. The lobby was full of people waiting on their room and no one was let in until it was time not one minute before, Being a little tired and not really being familiar with the area we just waited hoping they would call us in early, but it did not happen. Would highly recommend since it is very nice and close enough to all the areas of interest."

"The room was clean. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was very excellent. The issues….firstly, the first room we were in was next to a room under construction. The banging and drilling and hammering began early and ended late. We were woken up by the noise and disturbed by the noise in the afternoon. We asked just to be moved to a room of the same class as we were in but without noise. The 2nd room was so small we were tripping over each other. It was probably 1/2 the size of the previous one. The bathroom was so tiny that 2 people could not be in it at the same time. The room was clean. The amenities were fine BUT it was definately no where near the value of the other room. We were so tired that we found a way to make ourselves comfortable as we were not moving again! We also want to note…the walls were so thin we heard the water running, the hair dryer blowing, and the conversations of the room next to us. As far as location…you can’t ask for better. As far as staff etc…..they were truly professional. Other than the room, our stay was great."
