"Our stay at Mauna lani was just perfect. Beautiful, clean, comfortable room, pool and shared areas. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Valet is very efficient and go above and beyond to make your day trips better. Mel provided us with an umbrella and mat in one of our outings to a hike/beach without us even asking for it. The pool is great, the water was temperate, so not cold or warm just the right temperature for comfort but still refreshing. The beach at the hotel is extremely beautiful, it’s a little rocky so you probably want to wear water shoes when not swimming or snorkeling but right off the beach to the left there is the most amazing coral with a lot of colorful fish and even turtles! We went snorkeling a few times during our stay and we saw amazing fish and at least one turtle every time. The Island of Hawai’i calls for adventure with some difficult/long hikes and drives so coming back to the most beautiful, comfortable and accommodating hotel is what you need to make your vacation perfect. If we are lucky enough to come back to the Island of Hawai’i we will definitely choose Mauna lani again!"

"This was our first trip to the big island, and I would say we really lucked out on this place! The place was very clean and comfortable and we felt very safe. The location, access to private beach club, onsite pool, neighborhood, etc., were a perfect introduction to the island. There was a complete selection of beach items - from folding chairs and beach umbrella, to ice chests and snorkeling gear. We ventured out every day to other beaches and locations, but we felt the private beach club with cabana chairs, wonderful snorkeling, easy parking and access, made our "home" beach our favorite of all! The hosts were very accommodating and responsive and we would highly recommend this place to everyone!"
