"Amazing pool with waterslides, basketball and volleyball, kiddy beach and adult areas, something for everyone. We loved having a kitchen and the propane grills outside (just get groceries in Kona or pay a premium). Hard to beat breakfast with a view on the patio. The area is very peaceful and beautiful. The staff were super helpful, always checking in on any needs. Beds were so comfortable and soft. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel, we really felt like we were enjoying a luxurious Hawaiian lifestyle."

"This property was perfect for our family. Each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom, and there was also a separate powder room. The gathering spaces were nicely sized, and we especially appreciated the decor and finishes of this home. We felt like it was a perfect home away from home for us. The beach club was lovely too. We would definitely come back!"

"I enjoyed my stay at the resort and LOVED my room. The walkways offered a museum feel and provided something to look at each day. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. I wish the Tram was faster but that is my only complaint. I ate off the resort so I cant comment on the food, but loved the availability of the shuttles to the shopping centers and the Lava Lava Club."

"We’ve stayed in dozens of homes, but Julie and Alan have set a new high bar. The pantry was stocked with a lot of items, and they surprised us with two gifts throughout the stay. To top it off, they were always available and fast to respond. As far as the home goes:- The kitchen is massive and luckily they have done a great job labeling the drawers and cabinets so you can find your way around. A wonderfully equipped coffee bar that we enjoyed too much. - The pool was comfortably warm while we were there and the hot heats up very fast which is always a big plus. One thing that would be nice is if the room AC could be set to 68, as the current limit of 70 is a bit too warm for me. - The grill was spotless and easy to use. The ice maker in the bar did trip the GFCI a few times, but Alan showed me how to reset it. - We didn’t even notice the fully equipped garage for beach items, but it was great to have everything we would need for our adventures. Our kids enjoyed all of the toys and floaters. Having stay here, it’s clear to see why this place has earned its 5 star rating."

"The property is spacious, tastefully decorated, well furnished and well stocked. Lots of beach gear (thank you!!) and the kitchen was stocked to the nines with things I didn’t even think that we would need. And all very organized. The place was immaculate. In a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The outdoor kitchen is so nice. All rooms come with their own full bathrooms. Washer and dryer came in very handy. The parking access for the Mauna Lani beach was a very nice benefit. Great beach with chairs and cabanas all set up. Host was very responsive and nice. We had a wonderful stay at their beautiful property."

"Everything was wonderful during our stay at the Mauna Lani Villages. The amount of space was great for our family of 4 adults and 3 children! The condo was clean and well maintained and we appreciated the start-up supplies! It's also in a great location as it's a very short walk to the pool!We also appreciated the beach gear that was available for use! Mauna Lani is where we'll stay from now on on the Big Island and we definitely would rent from this owner/property management again! My only recommendation would be to install a fan on the back lanai as the way they are built doesn't really allow the wonderful tropical breezes to flow into that area and it got hot in that space. We ended up bringing the fan from one of the guest rooms outside and used that. But that's the only thing I would change about the unit! Mahalo nui loa for being such great hosts!P.S. We rented a golf cart from Kohala Beach Buggies and glad we did because the grocery store was a short ride up the road as well as Snorkel Bob's. It made it easy to the beach and also get around the whole Mauna Lani complex!"
