"The Fairmont Orchid is absolutely gorgeous! I love the fact that it had its own private beach, where you can snorkel, paddle-board, go kayaking or go out on an outrigger. There is also a bar at the beach and food service available. The pool area separate from the beach, but they are both right next to each other. The pool area has food service and drink service as well and is very well designed. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. There is a shuttle service that will take you to the surrounding resorts for other restaurant options. The food is expensive so we took the shuttle bus to the little grocery store and purchased things for our room. We found that the food at the restaurants were just OK and not worth the price that we paid. Also, they have yoga every day and daily activities that you can participate in such as hula lessons (which I did), making a Hawaiian lai, discussions on culture and art, etc. You can also golf or play tennis there as well. They also have a concierge that will help you make arrangements for any excursions you want and a car service too. Overall, I really enjoyed this resort and would go again.

Waterfalls at the resort can be noisy at night if you enjoy sleeping with your balcony door open, and have a resort/pool/part sea view room.

"The condo was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was very well stocked, the location was great and we enjoyed that the patio had more privacy and shade than many others in the Fairwinds, and the house was in great condition and very nicely decorated. The management was also very easy to work with and available for questions. Having access to the beach club is one of the biggest perks and they had a good supply of items for the beach - chairs, snorkel stuff, etc. The only thing I would want to let folks know about is the beds are very firm. "

"The rental was spacious, clean, and well appointed. It was in a fantastic location, close by the great beaches and eateries. The condo grounds were lovely, with a nice pool area. The bedrooms and bathrooms (and closets!) were all very large, making this an extremely comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast on the lanai. Overall a great experience."
