"The host is a very warm and welcoming lady. The breakfast and the options were excellent. Would definitely book again if i need a place to stay at Carlisle."
"Family of 4 (adult children) stopped here for a night on our way to Edinburgh. The hotel was redesigned to a hotel in the 1980s from a historical building from the 1880s. Decor is original from both centuries. It is in need of major updates. However, beds were fine and shower worked ok. The walls are thin and we were happy our neighbors didn’t talk loud all night. I’d keep searching for another spot if I were you, but the stay here was adequate."
"Great place to stay a short journey from Carlisle. Our second stay here. Room was fine, bed was comfy, shower was excellent and amenities like a Nespresso machine with pods were good touches. We also enjoyed a nice dinner in the pub."
"This is an amazing hotel. The rooms are magnificent, and the setting is beautiful. We had dinner in the hotel which was very good. We would definitely stay again."
"A great location overlooking the bowling green and the old port. Good basic accommodation that could do with being updated. Self service breakfast and bar"

"Very welcoming staff, who went out of their way to accommodate us with a late check-in and check out.
My children really enjoyed our stay in this cosy hotel in Carlisle! "
"Lovely place. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurants are both fantastic and you got a free drink in the on-site restaurant if you booked a meal and in the apartment you got complimentary crumpets butter and milk which was very helpful"
