The location is ideal, across from Prado Museum and easy walk to Thyssen-Bornemisza. Sound insulation in rooms is zero from hall conversations and adjacent rooms. Facility appears worn and in need of renovation.

Very convenient

The hotel is central to many attractions, which made it easy for us to venture around without the need for transportation. Service was good. We arrived early and we were granted access to our room before the required check in time. There was not much interaction with the staff as we were out most of the time. The facility is clean and neat, but it definitely needs a face lift. Although the rooms are cute and neat with wooden floors, the closets look outdated. The staff was helpful.

Great place to stay in the art triangle in Madrid. Close to Metro stations, art museums, Parque de el Retiro, Jardin Botanico, and a reasonable walk to the Plaza Mayor. Nice coffee shops in the area, too. Hotel was clean, quiet, and staff was very helpful with restaurant reservations and getting taxis. Not a fancy place, but reasonably priced and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Mercure Madrid Centro nunca mais!

O hotel é bem localizado e o quarto é confortável, no entanto mal insonorizado ouve se tudo pela porta do quarto, e o pior de tudo é o comportamento dos empregados no pequeno-almoço, não levantam os pratos sujos, a hora de fecho é as 10:30 mas às 10h15 já começam a tirar as coisas, tornando o pequeno-almoço almoço um momento de stress, tive que me chatear 2 vezes, muito mau mesmo. Na receção também uma parte dos empregados muito mau, o check in foi muito pouco simpático, tinha pedido 2 quartos próximos várias semanas antes e deram me 1 no primeiro piso e outro no 4 piso! Como se não bastasse pedi uma recomendação para o restaurante no dia da chegada e a miúda sem formação enviou nos para uma ratoeira, restaurante caro sem opção para miúdos, no restaurante perguntaram quem nos tinha enviado para lá o que foi muito estranho. Muito pouco profissionalismo, não entendo como uma cadeia como a Mercure tem um staff tão mau e sem formação.

We didn’t have any food. Internet access dipped in and out which sometimes was annoying when looking for specific places to visit. Bed was quite comfy.

Best for a Paseo del Arte visit to Madrid

Room and entire hotel were spotlessly clean. Staff very attentive: we had a drain clog in our shower late at night and they moved us efficiently to another room. Location is perfect for Madrid museum visits -- directly across the Paseo from the Prado and 5-10 minute walks to the Thyssen and Reina Sophia. Lots of great restaurants within a 5-10 minute radius.

Freundlicher Empfang. Hilfsbereites Personal. An einer Seitenstraße gelegen dennoch etwas laut, dafür recht zentrale Lage unweit der wichtigsten Museen. Hbf zu Fuß erreichbar. Leider Trinkwasser nur am ersten Tag aber Kiosk in der Nähe.
