"It's a beautiful property and our group loved the spaciousness and comfort. It is a bit away from the main area of town, but it was an easy walk to get a tuk tuk (for around 5/ride). "

We had a wonderful stay. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we chose was small but comfortable and kept very clean. Would certainly choose to stay again and recommend if visiting Luang Prabang.

We had a wonderful stay at Phya Nya Residence and would happily return.
The residence is beautifully restored with genuine character and a calm, elegant atmosphere that fits perfectly with Luang Prabang’s heritage feel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, striking a great balance between traditional style and modern comfort. It felt like a peaceful retreat to come back to after a day of exploring.

The hotel was peaceful and quiet. Lush vegetation surrounded the hotel and it backed onto the river. The room was large and very comfortable. Airport pickup and drop-off was well arranged. The pool was nice and it had a nice restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast came with room and was good. The only minor problem is the hotel is a long walk in hot conditions from the main street in town. The hotel had a minibus to drop people off in town and it went every 2 hours. No other public transport or uber....

Excellent hotel. A little away from the main downtown area, but if you don't want to walk (which is actually fun if you explore the side streets) then the hotel has a shuttle service. We had an upper room which I personally prefer to the lower ones that are basically adjoining the pool. The pool itself was the best of the various hotels we stayed at in Laos simply because the water was actually cool and refreshing. All staff very helpful. Highly recommended.

This hotel is located at the end of the old part of Luang Prabang and right on the river. Not only ideally located (I recommend a Riverview room) the service at the Mekong Riverview is second to none. Expect a welcome drink on arrival, a chat with the owner each morning, soft drink and water in the room and beds turned down at night to mention just a few things. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Beautiful historical building in a serene part of old Luang Prabang, yet an easy walk to the buzzy night market. We enjoyed sitting on our private deck in the garden, and delicious breakfasts under the trees. The most comfortable bed of any hotel in Asia.

Beautiful restored rambling mansion. One of the most charismatic places we have ever stayed. Felt like staying in someone's luxury home.
Our flight didn't leave until 630pm so they gave us late checkout till 5 at no extra cost (off season).
Highly recommend.

We were in a peretual state of BLISS at this hotel! I almost dont want to review it so everyone doesn't swarm on it! The gardens are unbelievably beautiful, you feel like you are loving in a work of art! The skill of the gardening puts you into a euphoric state, dininh at Mada De Laos watching the scarlet water lillies open in the evening was peak experience.
The delux room was flawless. I've stayed at much more expensive hotels and not enjoyed the experience as much. A truly beautiful special...

We really enjoyed our stay. The relaxing view of the river from our balcony the excellent service from the staff and the availability of excellent bicycles which we used to explore the area. Being on “the right bank” meant the hotel was very peaceful and every time we wanted to cross the river to town, the boat was readily available and there were no problems using it. WiFi was excellent and we had a wonderful dinner on our last night.

We stayed here for 17 nights and it was fantastic. The rooms are beautiful with views over Luang Prabang. The breakfast buffet is awesome with a huge variety of food including Lao and European. We loved the Lao noodle soup each morning. The restaurant, cafe and room service were outstanding. The price of a meal was only slightly higher than town but the chef is very talented and the meals were incredible.
The pool is magnificent with panoramic views across the region and we did happy hour 1/2...

Everything was great for our 5 day stay. Luang Prabang is a small town but there is plenty to do. Tourism is important there but it is not overwhelming. Mostly it is people going about every day life which is wonderful as a visitor to walk around in. Very safe town. The hotel is excellent. Easily one of the top places to stay in the whole city. The hotel is 1-2km outside the downtown area but this is no problem. Free transfers whenever you want in the hotel car. Staff are falling over themselves...
