The ship itself is historic and beautiful. The food is very average. No room service. No housekeeping, unless three day stay or more. The bathroom is definitely is a bit difficult to navigate with a high step into the tub. It’s a one and done for us. There is a Starbucks on board which is very convenient.

Loved staying here! Wanted to do the ghost tour but we arrived to late and left early as we were going on a cruise! Other than that loved staying there!

No air conditioning or heater, it was freezing at night, they only offer blankets… Warm water only, impossible to take a hot bath to warm up. Staff rude and unprofessional except the front desk. The property is not maintained properly, this is worse than a cheap motel, let alone a 3- star hotel!! Museum part is very nice though, what an amazing piece of history.

It was a treat to stay on the Queen Mary. However, it was very expensive. We stayed in a room with two queen beds. The portholes opened! The bathroom was large for a cruise ship and adorable. The restaurants were good but expensive. I enjoyed the experience and took my nine year old niece. She wants to go back next year but I will have to start saving now.

Doesn’t have the quality of staff and upkeep as before covid. Front desk staff was good. Hopefully, Dark Harbor comes back and they can start making money for more renovations. The Hollywood tour was great but the 2 hour haunted tour was really boring and bad.

It was 55 degrees outside, all the doors were wide open constantly and there was no heat in the room. When we asked about it we were told we would be provided with a couple of blankets (there were none on the beds only sheets). We were overcharged to start with and only got a discount through Expedia which saved us about a hundred dollars (the bill otherwise was $420. We asked about a room discount due to no heat and were told no since they gave us blankets.

If you are looking to stay in a piece history and be transported back in time to a bygone era this is your place. There are tours to spaces not open to the public as well as ghost tours. Overall my stay was great with the exception of loud neighbors late into the night. Didnt get a chance to try any of the onboard restaurants but from other reviews the food is amazing.

I lived my stay on the Queen Mary. The room was clean and nice. The self tour was educational and my daughter and I wept as we watched the video of the WWII vets tell their stories. Wow that was a tear jerker. The restaurant on board however was not a treat. The food was good but the atmosphere looked as though it had be redone in the 80’s. Needed to be taken back to the 30’s feel. The area around the Queen Mary was depressing and run down. I would love to see those buildings next to it restored and made into shops.

Beautiful property food in cafe very delicious... But no heat. I woke up with a slight cold due to the room being so cold. Shower pressure was very very light dont get to soapy lol it will take forever to rinse off. Despite minor issues i realy like the ship.

We stayed on the Queen Mary before our Carnival cruise. The room was clean The ship is undergoing restrictions . My family and I loved the atmosphere and the history. This was a wonderful experience The only draw back was the room was cold The staff did furnish extra blankets We slept well.

The closeness to the cruise port is the reason I booked this hotel. However it's not close to any restaurants or shops unless you have a car. Also they don't have a business center to print documents.

Unique property, which is why we chose to stay. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The room we stayed in smelled of mold so we had to keep the window open all night, therefore requesting extra blankets for our little ones. The toilet didn’t flush every other time and the sink did not drain at all, so we had a full sink from four people washing hands and brushing teeth. The boat was cool to walk around, however they didn’t open the Engine room and other “touristy places on the ship” until 11am which was the same time as check out. Don’t know if that’s intentional but was a bummer to miss out on. We ate at the restaurant “promenade café” our server was very attentive, food was subpar. Overall not a place we’d stay again, however unique one time place for our kids to see.

This is an old ship and it is very interesting, the dining options on the ship are not healthy and are expensive. A nice tea room and healthier dining options would be a good addition. Historical experience and the visit of the engine room was amazing.

Loved the bar on the Queen Mary! It was like stepping back in time! Rooms were minimal and did run very cold. The front desk did warn us and gave us extra blankets. Dining options were minimal, only one restaurant was open and only had a buffet for breakfast. Would be nice if they would NOT serve Starbucks at the cafe. An additional $30.00 per day parking charge was also NOT expected. Found out about the parking charge during check-in. The $18.95 preservation fee was also NOT expected...but did not feel bad paying that since it is used to help restore/preserve the Queen Mary. We would stay again...since we enjoy the nostalgic feel of the place. Thank you!

I grew up in Southern California and never made it onto the ship due to restorations. It was a fun trip to see what was inside the ship with one of my childhood best friends after years of wondering. Every space on the ship is thoughtfully preserved and we also enjoyed seeing the other locals who came dressed in full war era cocktail wear. I will be bringing back family in the future to have this unique experience. The cocktails were amazing and such a neat view. Cute gift shops and history geeking to see Winston Churchill office on the ship.

From the moment we checked in all of the staff were fantastic. We ate at the cafe, the food and service was awesome. The walls between the rooms are very thin, if you have loud neighbors you will hear everything. If you are a light sleeper this might irritate you. The ship and the history is very much worth the stay. We stayed on the harbor side and had great views of downtown Long Beach.
