"Staying in an actual castle was a dream come true for this soon to be 50 year old! The room was amazing and staff were phenomenal. The food was terrific - both the basement restaurant and the breakfast room. We only stayed one night due to our busy schedule but would've loved to stay and enjoy the beautiful grounds. "This is a lovely, old barony house. It is not a pristine chain hotel. Give yourself plenty of time to roam the house and grounds. This place is breathtaking! Staff was mostly helpful, though we requested a whisky tasting, were told they'd inquire and let us know, but never did (we assumed that meant no). Dinner service was very slow the evening we were there, with very few other people. Bar drinks had to be requested more than once before they arrived. Wait staff was not very attentive. Food and drink for dinner and the included breakfast were delicious. The sea bass was out of this world and the sticky toffee pudding was perfection! This was a luxury stay with a lovely, comfortable bed and nicely appointed, basic room. A lovely last night in Scotland before we had to return home."

"I think our plans to to Scotland were all made two weeks before we left. Finding this affordable and cozy home was very simple with Vrbo, an app I had never used before. Our stay for two weeks was easy to arrange and approved promptly. Ashley, the owner, made herself available for any and all questions we had. Based on our experience and conversations we’ve had with Ashley, we would definitely stay at her place again. Thank you for being a wonderful host Ashley. Cheers"

"No reception desk so had to wander about until we got key from behind the bar which doubles up as reception. On leaving you put your key in a box outside the bedrooms and you don't aee anyone. Check out is 10am which is very unusual. Food was good. Quiz night (Thursday) noisy until 11pm."

"Perhaps we should have asked for a disabled room as there was no shower mat, grab handles or seat in the shower, also the toilet seat mounts need tightening up, room 28. Apart from that everything else was great! The room was well equipped and the bed was comfortable, staff were very polite and the view from the window onto the golf course and estuary were spectacular, glad I took my binoculars, I saw 3 cruise ships leaving Leith and loads of other vessels! Thank you all for a nice relaxed weekend away!"

The location is ideal—situated right on the East Lothian coast with incredible, scenic views over the Firth of Forth, yet just a short and easy drive into central Edinburgh. The park itself is impeccably maintained, welcoming, and packed with great things to do. The indoor heated pool was a huge hit, and having direct access to the beach right across the road made morning coastal walks an absolute highlight. The staff throughout the site were consistently warm, helpful, and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly from check-in to departure. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean, modern, and comfortable, serving as the perfect base to relax after a day of exploring. Whether you are looking for a fun family getaway or a relaxing coastal retreat near the city, Seton Sands delivers on all fronts. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"
