Good hotel but small rooms

This hotel is very central to underground stations and is close to a main street so lots of food/pub options. Our room was VERY small with a small double bed for two adults. Perhaps common in London but was unexpected for us.

Like many hotels in London, this hotel is just standard for a budget trip. Small room and shower but clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. No common area other than a couch in front of the reception desk/open office. No hair dryer. Ok for a few nights stay when you’re barely looking for a place to sleep.

The room was actually quite dirty. There was a stain on the wall that resembled blood or tomato sauce that i noticed before we left. We stayed for 2 nights and didn’t receive housekeeping services. The staff were friendly nonetheless, and the area was close walking distance to nightlife, restaurants and shopping.

Will definitely stay again.

The lady who owned the hotel was so helpful and friendly, the hotel its self is in a good position to tube stations and shops, food places and in walking distance to hyde park and a bonus is there is parking available at a good day rate too.

Property was perfect for a short stay, small room but had everything we needed. Staff were pleasant and the local area is great for food and bars but central London is only a tube away so it’s a fantastic spot if you don’t want to pay central London hotel prices Thanks for having us 🙂

Quite happy with this hotel for the really reasonable price. Close to tube and train station. Easy to walk into central London ( about 30mins walk) Really helpful staff Deb was lovely, even helped carry my case upstairs. ( There is no lift). Room and bathroom were small and simple but clean and the bed was comfortable.

The room was nice but the carpet in the halls were dirty. They gave us the attic room and the stairways up to it is not great. Actually, it was awful because it was really narrow and scary to climb up to the room with all of our luggage. The staff was really nice and the location was great.

It was okay. Pretty basic but clean and tidy. Polite staff. Bed was too soft for me. Paper cups , no glasses. I think was a bit overpriced but the location is good so that could be debated.

Mixed bag

Excellent location in balance with cost. Tube round the corner and less than 20min walk from Oxford Street. 30 mins walk from Harrods. Room accessibility would be an issue with lots of luggage or if you have mobility issues as steep narrow staircases. Bed was very comfortable, issues with water pressure on the top floor meant shower/bath was near impossible. I would stay again based on cost and location if travelling on my own again. If I had the family with me I would probably give it a miss, but on the whole it's OK and worthy of its ratings.

Small, dirty & noisy.

Dirty room, no view and poor facilities. Checked in to find no iron or hair dryer but advertised on the website as part of room facilities. Room was dirty, stains and marks on the walls, dusty carpet and 2 used empty water bottles found in wardrobe. Very thin walls, can hear every conversation and footstep in the building. Wi-Fi is decent, beds comfy, shower ok but very dated.

We reserved and stayed in he quadruple rooms. Hotel is dated, small rooms that are also due for upgrades. No refrigerator in the room. Narrow and steep stairs and no elevator in the hotel. No early check ins. You get what you paid for. Cheaper isn’t always better. There’s a few groceries going towards Hyde park and mostly Middle Eastern restaurants with authentic and delicious dishes including shawarmas. There’s plenty of shopping about ten minutes away by Hyde park. Buckingham palace, Big ben, etc are about 20 minutes away by foot. Plenty of taxis around.

The rooms don’t look like on the picture, the room I’ve been given stinking of cigarettes, look like the person who was staying for a week was smoking all week inside. The gentleman on the reception exchanged for family room which was ok, Water pressure under shower very low, the cheapest shower gel with dispenser not working correctly. There is nowhere near what was on the Hotels.com website. Very disappointed. Never again.
