Each space blends warmth and simplicity, with comfortable furnishings and a relaxed, homely feel.

Whether you’re here to explore the Highlands or simply to rest, this is a place to slow down and reconnect.

The Space

Accommodation includes a luxurious super-king family ensuite, complemented by a small private sitting area and an additional intimate bedroom space ideal for families or those seeking comfort and flexibility.

The home also features a cozy ensuite loft with an organic futon bed and a newly renovated shower.

Additionally, there is a comfortable double bedroom on the ground floor, complete with a private walk-in shower. This room is ideal for wheelchair users or guests with mobility needs, offering ease of access & comfort.

All four rooms are thoughtfully appointed with quality bedding, hairdryers, ample storage, and the three & half bathrooms stocked with fine toiletries and soft towels.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas burner hob, oven, grill, fridge freezer, and washing machine. It also includes a kettle, toaster, coffee machine, along with crockery, glassware, cookware, and pans.

Starter cooking essentials such as milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper as well as basic cleaning materials, are provided as standard.

A private garden with decking and rockery offers the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee, lunch or evening meal while taking in the spectacular, ever-changing views across the glen.

Guest Access

This includes full access to the kitchen, dining area, four bedrooms, and three bathrooms, along with a beautiful outdoor space featuring decking with an awning overlooking the back garden, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

During your stay

I am also happy to offer personalised local recommendations for dining, drinks, scenic walks, hikes, and wild swimming spots. Additionally, I can assist with arranging a private sauna session here in the glen, allowing you to enjoy a truly restorative and authentic local experience.

BALQUHIDDER

Steeped in Celtic mythology, the area was long considered a “thin place” a realm where the boundary between the physical and spiritual worlds is barely perceptible. The glen is home to the ruins of the original Balquhidder Kirk, built in 1631, which contains the grave of the legendary outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor, who once roamed these hills. Within the current church, built in 1855, lies the headstone of St. Angus, a 7th-century missionary credited with bringing Christianity to this sacred corner of Scotland.

The Braes of Balquhidder are reached via a scenic single-track road off the A84, lying at the northernmost edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is steeped in myth, history, and spiritual significance. Four miles west of the village, along the glen, lies the magnificent Loch Voil, near the acclaimed Monachyle Mhor.
