Your home right in the heart of Lisbon! with a balcony to the Augusta Street!

This apartment was completely renovated a few months ago. It has a suite, a living room of 50 m2 with kitchenette, a bathroom and an extra WC. It has a balcony that overlooks Augusta Street which is simply marvellous!
The photograph of the street was taken from this balcony!
From this balcony we have a privileged view on Chiado and Rua Augusta. It's a 4th floor and there's no elevator.
In the living room there is a double sofa bed and a single bed that can be converted into two single beds, or in one double bed (this bed in German is called Raumsparbett).
The apartment is fully equipped and acomodates 6 people.

Important Rules:
- It's strictly forbidden to make noise after 10 p.m.
- Parties are strictly forbidden
- Check-in is possible from 12 a.m. but please note that when there's someone leaving the apartment the same day, check-in time will always depend on the previous check-out.
- We need about 2-3 hours to prepare the apartment
- Normally is possible to leave the luggage at the apartment on the day you arrive, while the apartment is being prepared for you
- Guest cannot use the apartment neither stay on the apartment while it's being prepared for them
- Check-out is until 12 a.m.
- The following charges are applied for late check-in: 20 euros after 10 p.m. and 30 euros after 12 a.m.
- Late check-out is possible but it must be always arranged directly with me. Charges may be applied
- When it's not possible to have a late checkout, we let the guests leave their luggage on the apartment until as late as possible
- Guests must leave the apartment cleaned and tidy
- Garbage can't be left on the apartment (unless guests leave on a Sunday because garbage is not collected on Sundays)

Great spot, great hosts!

This is a great location if you want to spend a few days in Lisbon! Centrally located and within walking distance of some good restaurants and bars. Ester and Miguel are amazing and attentive hosts. They answer any questions within minutes and will give local recommendations. The balcony gives an amazing view of a very popular area in Lisbon. Full disclaimer, it is on the fifth floor with stair access only but if you’re coming to Lisbon, you will be doing a lot of uphill/ downhill walking anyway so it really isn’t all that bad. Would recommend to any friends and family and will look forward to staying here once again in the future.

We loved this place. It’s in the heart of the city; everything you’d want to see or do is nearby, either walking distance or from the nearby train station. Rua Augusta is special; lively and interesting and beautiful. You’re a five minute stroll from Placa Comercio and the Rio Tejo. And the apartment is lovely. Excellent mattresses, two bathrooms, a great shower, and helpful, pleasant hosts. We will be back!

Perfect location

Great location right off Biaxa Chiado metro stop and the 5 story walk up kept us in shape after all those delicious pastéis de nata’s.

Great location, clean and spacious, BUT the stairs!

Great overall stay. Good amenities. Close proximity to public transportation. Good communication with the owner and property manager. But the stairs are a killer, especially if you have luggage. Narrow, uneven and seemingly endless.

Place was nice and right in the heart of a busy area. We were a couple hours behind schedule due to getting lost driving into Lisbon and dealing with traffic. Miguel’s wife waited for us at the apartment which was very nice. Just be prepared for LOTS of stairs to get to the apartment!!

The apartment is beautifully situated with everything you need and right in the heart of the city. It’s easy to get around to any neighborhood. The host Miguel is super helpful and communicative. The balcony overlooking the street with a view to the arch and ocean is an amazing highlight!

The apartment was perfectly located. we could walk to just about everything. Miguel, our host, provided us with excellent sight seeing adventures as well as restaurants. NOTE: DO NOT park in Baixa-Chiado lot we paid over $300.00 for five days. We were told that it would be $20.00 a day. NOT. . . This was a big disappointment. We would visit Lisbon again!

At the right location

The host and housekeeper were excellent. Couldn’t have asked for better service. I would rate this place 10 star. Both of us r in our 60’s and the only bad thing about this place r the stairs. If u have a health issue on climbing narrow stairs with ur luggage, this is not the place for u. We had a few bumps but still managed. Thank u for ur outstanding hospitality and awesome location. ♥️👍♥️

Beautiful apartment in central location

This apartment was very nice and a beautiful location in Lisbon. The square below was filled with restaurants and vendors, So it was a little louder and busier than I anticipated, But with the windows closed, you couldn’t hear a thing. Our host provided some very valuable information that saved us a lot of trouble and pointed us to some wonderful restaurants that we never would’ve found on our own. Overall, a great experience in Lisbon.

The place was clean and comfortable and a nice balcony to watch people. The 74 stairs are a killer with heavy luggage. If this was not the case, it would be an excellent place.

Everything was lovely except the 73 steps up. Didn't see that when booking. (And we are in our late 60's!). Anyway everything else was great. Miguel was most helpful. Location is perfect.

Ideal location and wonderful view!!

My husband and I spent four nights at the flat and it was the perfect spot to see and enjoy Lisbon! Everything is as described in the listing, including the stairs (which we didn't mind at all!). You should already be fit or interested in becoming fit - LOL. But the views of rua Augusta from the balcony make it worth it - just a fantastic way to people watch or enjoy your coffee or glass of wine. A well kitted out flat in a fabulous area of Lisbon. Miguel was a great host and communication with him was superb.

The host Ms Ana had very good communication before and during our stay. The home was very spacious and with the local grocery nearby we were able to cook at home. We could walk to where we needed to from this location. Keep in mind this unit is only for those who can handle many stairs, we could, but if 100 stairs is not possible for you, you would need another option, but if you are able, it was great to burn off some calories from the amazing Portuguese food. We would definitely recommend.

Springtime in Lisbon

My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay In Old Town Lisbon . The apartment as the pictures show is right in the middle of everything you would want to see or do. The apartment’s kitchen and bathroom are modern. The five floors of stairs to climb and the street performer noise with the windows open might be a problem for some. Dolly who checked us in was very helpful.

Great flat in the heart of Lisbon - location can’t be beat.

We loved our stay in Miguel’s flat. The location is phenomenal- to be able to step out on your balcony and look up and down the Rua Augusta, step outside the building and get great Pasteis de Nara and coffee just a few meters away! Also just two blocks to the metro to explore farther around the city or walking distance to Chiado and Alfama. We really loved this as a home base. Miguel was very helpful- pointed out some elevators that were super useful. We also loved being able to go to sleep with the street noise drifting up, which is not too loud at all. Truth in advertising it is a steep 4 floors up, but worth it.

Great location

Location, location, location. Can’t get any better. Miguel was quick to respond to all of our questions and requests. He even provided suggestions for restaurants and sites to see while in the city. Talk about responsive, he even face timed us to help guide through the process using the washer/dryer unit in the apartment. What a life saver. Also, we arrived a little early on the first day and Sarah, the maid, greeted us and help with the luggage and we were able to store the luggage until the unit was cleaned. Can’t say how much we enjoyed our stay

Great Location in Lisbon

Perfect location for our stay in Lisbon. We were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to go. The metro station was just a 3 min walk away. We were able to leave our luggage before check-in. Miguel and Sarah were very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. He gave lots of recommendations for restaurants and tours. Although we are on one of the busiest streets we didn't have any issues with noise since the master bedroom is at the back of the apartment and 4 floors up. As other reviewers have mentioned, be aware that this is a steep climb with shallow steps (no elevator) especially after a long day touring and there is a hole in a plank on one of the landings.
