"We had the family room, situated at the front overlooking the bay of Connel and the highland hills in the background. We had summer weather, what helpt making it fantastic. It's a fine B&B, caring owners of an old building that's well maintained. The frond road can be busy during the day, we had all 3 windows open all night and it was quiet, we had a good sleep. The bathroom is amazing. If we drive up to Scotland we will again considering stopping over maybe for an extra night to visit also the...
"We loved our stay at Thistle House. The house was beautifully maintained and furnished and even detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We had rooms with a lovely view over the loch and we were also served a delicious breakfast. We will definitely come back! "
"We had a lovely stay at Alltavona! We loved our sea view room and enjoyed sitting in the chairs with the window open, getting a fresh breeze and watching the boats sailing by. The ladies who helped us were very sweet."
"Amazing place to stay for the night before catching the ferry, lovely clean and quiet with a comfy bed and easy parking. Would definitely recommend this place"
"Glencruitten house is one of those special places.
Immaculately presented accommodation, helpful staff and lovely food. The grounds are breathtaking, and the quirkiness of the woods, friendly chickens, peacocks and alpacas make this a place I will re-visit."

Oban can be busy with tourists especially during July & August. If driving through the town expect queues. Ferries leave from the harbour for the islands. You'll find a mix of major and smaller shop retailers. There's a good choice of places to eat.

Cute town with friendly people. Very walkable but steep hills and climbs. I recommend the Oban Distillery tasting (advanced reservations needed) and the scenic boat tour. Dinner reservations are needed for the most popular restaurants.

We love this little town. The waterfront is beautiful and quaint. Shops close in the evening and the high street is filled with people walking around and enjoying the evening... few cars in the evening.

Oban is a sleepy port with amazing views. We wish the restaurants and shops would stay open later. Many visitors are off on island adventures during the day, and return to few options for dining etc. Otherwise very cute and nice people.
"Great Stay. We have been before to this Hotel so we new what to expect. Staff Great and Polite. Breakfast very good,
Its an old Victorian Type Hotel but you get what you pay for,Yes there could be a few improvements here and there with the Structure but what suits some dosen't suit others. The price was right so there you go. Would we go again yes. "
"Great location with beautiful views from its ocean view suite. Loved the lounge and convenience to the bay. Definitely go there if it fits in your budget."
