"The hotel itself is super cute! The lobby is warm and welcoming and the staff is friendly. The room was big and nice. The little touches like the picture, backboards and fireplace make the room feel special. The hotel is in a good location and walking distance to a restaurant and winery. They were accommodating with our service puppy. I would stay here again."

"We had a wonderful stay in this home. It had a great view and was very comfortable. We brought two children, 4 and 7, and did NOT feel like we had to tell them “Don’t touch that. Don’t sit there. Stay out of that room.” It was comfortable, child-friendly and still lovely. The kitchen was very well appointed. I love to cook and often, the kitchen is one place I feel is lacking - not here. I love the enclosed BBQ area, the protected hot tub, and chairs facing the ocean. My husband and I stayed upstairs, while our son and his family were downstairs. Our 4 year old granddaughter had a tough time the first night. My son worried that she woke us up. We didn’t hear a thing. I would stay here again gladly and would happily recommend it to friends and family."

"The Bodega Retreat was by far the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The host was exceptionally responsive and the premises were beyond great. We did use the kitchen for family dinners two nights, breakfast /brunch every morning, and snacking frequently and always found everything we needed in the generously stocked kitchen. We hope to be back the next time we are in Bodega."

"Overall, very spacious house with many rooms. We enjoyed the wildlife and views of the ocean, as well as sitting by the fireplace. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was a very strong and unpleasant odor in the refrigerator and kitchen. The odor in the refrigerator persisted through our visit and caused some of our food to taste bad. Linens were not very clean, many stains on the towels and bedspreads. We also had to deal with an ant invasion in both the lower floor bathroom and master bathroom. Thankfully, host was able to provide traps and spray at our request. Jacuzzi tub did not work in the master bathroom, none of the buttons ever turned on. Spa on the patio was excellent, however."

"The house was beautifully maintained, had wonderful upgrades, and the rooms were very comfortable and inviting. It honestly felt like we were staying at a close friend’s home. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly well equipped with everything we could possibly need. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into making the house feel special. We had a fantastic stay and would happily come back again."

"Very cute place, a bit retro 80's decor but the photos are true that are on the website, so no surprises there. Great location, great communication and the house was very well supplied with cooking tools, spices, and linens. I gave it 4 stars on a few questions only because the cabinet doors didn't all close properly, the bathroom sinks are brown, so they show every spot. The bathroom counters are low, typical of the late 70's/80's construction. The master bedroom bed was a bit soft for my liking, not a complaint, just a personal preference. I would book the place again as it was perfect for our needs. It appears the back patio has been enclosed to create the family room, very nicely done. And it is a fantastic, sunny room to have your morning coffee. We were visited by a lovely herd of deer that had no fear of us. We were able to bring our dog, and it was also very comfortable for him as well. The neighbors are close and the houses were occupied, however, we never heard a peep out of them. Quiet area and again, great location. We enjoyed our stay."
