The room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The mattresses are very firm. We didn't have a problem with that but it's worth noting. More like a thick tatami mattress.
I would love to see the window lock properly and the hallway diffuser scent a little more light and neutral, but other than that, I have no complaints. We love the building and town. It's so charming and everyone was friendly.
Check-in and out was a breeze.

Boutique little hotel with lots of history and character. Quiet and great location about 10-15 min from multiple beaches. Across the street is a fantastic bakery with good coffee as well as a little general store with a decent amount of snacks, wine, beer beach toys and other odds and ends. Easiest checking in and checking out. It’s not the most luxurious or fancy, not a ton of amenities. Felt very clean and well taken care of. I would 100% be happy staying there again, because I’m a minimalist. It’s got everything ya need, and nothing ya don’t.
The good: This hotel is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The room was comfortable and, the first night, very quiet. The tiny town is charming, an architectural throwback. Nice bakery across the street. The not so good: The hotel has no staff on site - literally never saw an employee. Since I had no cell phone service in the entire area and the hotel has no landline phones accessible by guests, the only way to communicate was via internet. So, when internet service went completely out the second night all communications were cut off. There’s a phone number posted in the lobby but no way to reach it! To their credit they took responsibility and explained future plans to avoid this sort of problem. But it seemed foreseeable, given that the whole town knows about cell coverage limits. I’m rounding up to a 3 due to their quick response and good intentions.
