"We loved our stay at the chateau. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. While they do not offer room service, I was able to get coffee each morning from the front desk. "A rocky start, but an absolutely wonderful recovery! Hôtel des Muses has a fantastic location directly across from beautiful Lake Annecy, in a peaceful area just a short walk from charming shops and restaurants. The secure gated parking is another excellent advantage. Our stay began with some disappointment: the annex room was dated, did not offer the promised partial lake view, and had maintenance issues, including nonfunctioning AC and plumbing problems. It was not what we expected from a superior room. Since we were staying for 2 more nights, after enjoying the nice breakfast buffet, we visited the front desk: the hotel team responded with genuine care and professionalism. Two wonderful staff members listened to our concerns and arranged an upgrade to a beautifully renovated room with a partial lake view and a lovely outdoor space, it completely transformed our experience. Although the hotel could benefit from minor improvements to outdoor maintenance, basic amenities, and older rooms, we truly enjoyed the remainder of our stay. We are especially grateful to the team for listening, taking action, and helping us enjoy our time in Annecy. Thank you for turning a disappointing beginning into a memorable and enjoyable stay. With a little more attention to detail, Hôtel des Muses could be truly exceptional!"

"The actual hotel was very functional. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept really well. Having blackout drapes and sound proofed room also helped. The kitchenette and fridge were a useful bonus. Free coffees and teas were available 24/7. The sitting area was well appointed and very relaxing. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The only negative comment was that parking in the area was extremely difficult to find! The parking area recommended was full (and 14 euros per night!). Maybe a note should be added as to alternative parking where visitors can stay overnight would have been helpful. It was a Saturday night so maybe it would not have been so bad any other time? But we almost cancelled our reservation because of this."

"We stayed here for 2 nights on our way back north. The hotel is lovely and the rooms very comfortable, the restaurant was closed whilst we were there but the bar serves a nice selection without needing to go out. The hotel is ideally positioned to visit Annecy or do what we did and visit Mont Revard with outstanding views of the lake right next to the hotel, the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good with enough choice to fill you up and there’s coffee available in your room which is a nice touch. Would definitely stay here again."
