The hotel is not a hotel, was more hostel, to many people always around smoking weed so even I paid for a week I booked in order hotel near by. So if you are a millennial or a zoomer this is your place. But for me was a really wrong decision

Building was very unique and room was comfortable and quiet. We could walk to restaurants and shopping, as well as take the tram to other neighborhoods. Franceska and Markus (not sure of the spelling!) were very friendly and helpful!

The people in the room next to us talked all night. If they were not speaking another language, we would have been able to follow their whole conversation.

Location is great and central, staff is lovely, building is a tiny bit on the older side and therefore yes, there will be noise at night (not soundproof), which is to be expected in a hostel though. :)

Central location, good value accommodation
Central and convenient location, just 2min walk from the train station, with city centre easily accessible on foot. As all a&o's, the room is rather small and simple. But it covers the basics, it's clean, bathroom in good condition and my room was fairly quiet. Overall a good value for money and I'd be happy to stay again.

About my stay
It was nice but as weather was sunny and hot… its not easy without anything to stay longer in room… otherwise its very simple and minimalistic, u have everything what u need for overnight or max 3 nights, more i could not recommend… hard to be without anything just bed and toilet… and small tv i could not use also

Room was pretty small, walls were very thin. It got quite hot at night as we couldn’t open the window at night because the street was too loud. Staff was friendly. No daily cleaning of rooms.

A great hotel for those who are on a tight budget. This is has to be one of the best value hotels around at this price for three of us to stay.

Great budget private room
I stayed in a private room- it was very spacious and comfy. Little bit noisy would be only comment (should bring ear plugs if light sleeper). It’s right next to central station, friendly staff, and a beautiful building. Great for budget travellers

Hot water NOT included
I EXPECT HOT WATER to be INCLUDED in the PRICE of a hotel room. At a&o Leipzig it is not. We stayed between Christmas and New Years. During our stay the Hot water was turned off (no water came out of the hot pipes). I informed the staff. No discount was offered. No replacement room was offered. No alternative place to take a hot shower was offered. The hot water was not turned back on before we left. It is not ok to expect guests to take pure cold water showers when it is below freezing outside. Do not stay here!

The location is the reason I chose A&O. The hotel is next to the Main Train station and less than five minutes from the entertainment area.

Great gem next to rail station.
This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff is great and was accomodating to a late night (9pm) pizza request. Very cool sofa in the lobby made of an old car from Soviet days. Rooms are bare bones but very adequate. They let me check in very early (before noon). The hotel is very convenient to the rail station (Haupbahnhoff) and downtown.

Good location
This hotel is right next to Leipzig train station and is easy to go many attractions. The room is clean and tidy. Wifi is good. I will stay in this hotel if I come back to Leipzig.

Great hostel in a great location, but noisy!
The employees were very nice and friendly. They even have a 24 hr bar! My private room was just fine. It even came with basic internet access. I didn't stream any movies, but if it's too slow, higher speed internet is available for a small fee. The only problem I had was the street noise. My room was next to the street, and there were alarms all night and early morning construction right in front of my room. Honestly, I only got 4 hrs sleep a night, at most. So make sure you ask for a room in the back. I did not eat breakfast here since Germany has so many delicious bakeries everywhere!

Spartan but adequete. Good price. Good breakfast. Only issue is that they want to charge a fee for using your credit card but backed off pretty quickly if you complain.

Building architecture is great.
The hotel building seems like former large organization's. Very spacious and it has a feel of German pre-war art. A O Hotel has consistent system everywhere, so it was easy for repeater to stay.
