We spent 2 nights at Grasmere and loved every minute. The views were stunning, the property was very well kept, excellent service, the room was clean, a good size, and the bed was comfortable. A great place for peaceful, relaxing holiday.
Very nice and comfortable accommodation. For the high price would have been nice if there was a coffee machine in the room.

Hi Susan, thanks for the review, we do have coffee and tea facilities in all the guestrooms, but we can look into full coffee machines in the rooms for the future. Best Wishes Grasmere Management Team
It was the most wonderful stay of our trip to Australia/New Zealand.
The hosts made you feel like royal. Glen the chef cooked up some tasty food, home made bread, juices, meats desserts etc.
We didn't want to leave. Walking the grounds after dinner, star gazing, photos of the magnificent mountains that surround the property was something to remember for a long time.
Everything was spot on. The husband and wife owners are warm, welcoming and just overall wonderful. Everything from the room to the food to the location of the property was impeccable. Highly recommend this to anyone in search of being treated like family in a relaxing, nature filled environment.
Staff went out of their way to cater for our dietary requirements & made us feel very much at home. Quality accommodation but charging for WiFi these days is a little disappointing mainly for people who need to keep connected when there is no cellphone coverage. Awesome location & beautiful outlook. Would highly recommend for people to unwind or couples retreat.
A 7 star hotel (a luxury country inn) in the middle of nowhere with homemade limited meal/drink (think 5 star price) options. Perfect for some but terrible for some people. No middle ground. Unfortunately For us, it was too expensive and the food was terrible. One example - the salmon dish was 95 percent pastawith spoonful of low quality salmon chucks. .,. really? In New Zealand?
Simply stunning and amazing food, very comfortable stay, highly recommended
