"Once we got checked in, everything was great. During our check-in, staff was hit hard by a large tour group as well as individuals like us. They handled it smoothly and professionally. Parking for check-in is a little challenging—no driveway & just room for 3-4 cars on the street. Parking on the property is easy (charged at a rate of ~$25 per day). We learned there was a free parking lot for hotel guests a couple of blocks away; we didn’t hear about it until we were leaving. This is an older property in a nice neighborhood; rooms were spacious and well maintained. If you decline housekeeping services, $10 per day is refunded to you. Complimentary breakfast had plenty of options & was well staffed; food options were replenished frequently. Tip: go early if you can. Seating is limited. Free laundry a plus. Well-run establishment. We would stay here again. "
"Overall Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)
My stay at the Fairmont Château Laurier was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The historic charm of the building is undeniable — it feels like stepping into a Canadian castle with all the modern comforts.
My room was clean, elegant, and offered a beautiful view. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every amenity was thoughtfully provided. I also really appreciated the central location — perfect for exploring downtown Ottawa, Parliament Hill, and the Rideau Canal.
Dining at the hotel was also a highlight, with delicious food and impeccable service.
Overall, I highly recommend the Fairmont Château Laurier for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Ottawa.

"We adore this hotel! The staff is amazing! They’re welcoming and so helpful. They helped us to store our bikes and brought up a fan to our room as my husband can’t sleep without one. The rooms are gorgeous. So clean and modern with large windows and you can’t beat the central location. "
