"This is a well located & comfortable hotel in a lovely historic ‘Baltic’ building. The rooms were very clean and the twin room (we eventually stayed in)was bright and airy & quiet. The service levels in the hotel are best described as ‘indifferent’. The room safe was locks shut but no one seemed to know how to fix it, the breakfast selection was not constantly replenished (constantly had to request replenishment of items). When we first checked in we were allocated an small dark attic room...

"The hotel is perfectly situated for visiting the Castle and other interesting sights. The staff were wonderful, kind and considerate. The communal sitting area is lovely and I was plied with tea all afternoon. The place is really warm which as a February visitor was important. The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice. Both my husband and I really enjoyed our stay and we’ll be back for sure."
