"The room was very spacious, very clean and ventilated, clean. Bathrooms, the owner has invested well in good property.
The staff are very friendly, but management is questionable, manager (some Sam) always arguing with lady staff (evident from a distance)
There is a disco hall on first floor opposite the rooms, loud music, local. Dialect shouts, cheering brrrrrrrrr, asked several times lower volume even past 1am, and almost 1:30am blasts and blasts of the speakers, almoSt forced to...

"First of all, the phone number listed for the property does not work. They do not have a listed email address to contact them at. They do not respond to messages sent through the Expedia app. Do not book with them unless you go in person.
During the rainy season, the road is impassable. It was the main reason I did not make it to my reservation. The property is also isolated within a smallish forest and not located on the roadside. If the isolated location appeals to you, go ahead.

"I was very pleased with my stay at Serena Nairobi. As a solo female traveler, I took advantage of paying for an airport transfer the evening I arrived. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. I got room service at like 1am that evening, too, and the attendant was kind as well. The property is gated and I felt very safe within. I had a spa treatment after a long day visiting the Nairobi National Park and I wasn't disappointed. I tried out the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room as well. All were nice and clean. The spa staff were very attentive. The lobby was large but welcoming with different sitting spots. The outdoor space was nice as well. I only spent two nights but the room was thoughtfully laid out with wall cabinets, mini fridge, clean bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. I wasn't able to eat at the restaurants, just have some afternoon tea in the private lounge for hotel guests. Overall, I recommend the hotel and I hope to be able to stay for longer in the future."
