It’s about a 20-minute drive from the livelier Bar Harbor, which ended up being the best of both worlds for us. The shops and restaurants nearby do close fairly early, but Bar Harbor is just a short drive away whenever you want a little more action. We loved the slower pace here, especially being able to walk into town for coffee in the mornings. It felt peaceful, cozy, and quintessentially Maine—the perfect home base for our time on Mount Desert Island."

"We had such a wonderful stay! It was the perfect space for me, my husband, and our 10-month-old baby. We wanted to stay in a quiet area near Bar Harbor, and this location was exactly what we were looking for. The space was beautifully decorated with such a cozy Maine feel, and we loved all the thoughtful details throughout the home. We used the second bedroom for our baby, which worked out perfectly. The area was peaceful and quiet, while still being a convenient drive to Bar Harbor. We also accidentally left our baby monitor behind, and the host reached out to me and shipped it back to us. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!"
