"I have stayed here multiple times and this was the first time I saw what others had complained about. The room was a bit more run down there was water damage on the frame of the bathroom door so it wouldn’t close. The second to the last day the hot water stopped working and the last day all water stopped working. The bed in the room was not comfy at all. With that being said this was the 1st time i experienced any of this at the location the staff as always was amazing and the snorkeling is always perfect"

"Good value. Excellent buffet breakfast included. Peaceful and quiet (first week of May). Wifi in my part of the hotel was very slow and unreliable."

"Property was a great location for a group vacation. We were three families with six adults and eight kids.We hired the property’s chef, Francisco, he was superb and I would definitely recommend. We requested family style means breakfast and dinner and they turned out fantastic. There were some minor maintenance issues with the property, but nothing significant. We were disappointed that the sargassum had arrived along the beach which limited our ability to play in the water. That’s something to keep in mind as we didn’t realize that that part of Cozumel was susceptible. There isn’t much that can be done about the sargassum so that isn’t the property owner’s fault. We ended up going south along the coast for clean beaches. There is a pier about a fifteen minute walk down the beach that was clear of the seafood and we made use of that. The south side of the island was totally clean.Property and area felt very safe. Bedrooms were nice and large. The extra bedroom (the sixth bedroom) is in a semi-detached building. It was fine for tow of our kids, but it was basic when compared to the other rooms (which we had assumed was the case based on the photos)."

"Unfortunately, there were several  items that have left us disheartened with the stay. 1. The AC in the master bedroom did not cool. When notifying Hernan about this, he told me that this would be looked into. This was not done so, I asked for an update on this on two occasions and did not receive one.  I finally asked for another updated and he told me that this wouldn't be worked on while we were there.   We ended up sleeping in other rooms as the master bedroom was too hot. 2. We tried to get the chef to come cook 1 or 2 meals for us. The follow up was slow and only initiated by me.   We eventually were told that the main chef was not available. This was a little frustrating as it would have been nice to have more proactive communication. 3. Upon entering the unit, there were only 4 beach/pool towels. We requested 6 more towels so that we could have enough for our group.  4. ***Safety and security- One of the back doors does not easily lock. The back door that does lock, is broken and has been “jimmied” over and iver again to make it latch and lock. This is a safety issue and needs to be addressed. 5. Communicarion with the PM- Hernan is a very nice man. However, there were multiple requests that did not get responded to. Example- We asked if there was a shovel that we can use To dig a hole on the beach? We received no response. 6. BBQ- There was nothing to (a) light the bbq with ("

"The home and our room were spotless. Host was very accomodating. It was windy and the seas were up when we stayed, lots of activity with Kiteboarders and windsurfers on the beach which was enjoyable to watch. Sargassum on the beach."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Playa Cozumel. Having the beach just steps away made mornings and sunsets especially nice, and the property felt quiet and private the entire time. The house was clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into. The staff and concierge were kind and attentive, checking in when needed and helping with anything we asked. Overall, it was a very relaxed and pleasant stay, and we would happily come back."
