"My wife and I visited Misty Morning Cabin for an anniversary get away. It perfectly met our expectations. Bryson City, Cherokee, and the Park are all close by. It was clean and well equipped. The hot tub was clean, private, and functioned as expected. The house was tidy. The showers were clean, but small. The highlight was most definitely the view. It was spectacular!We spent most of our time on the front porch taking it in.We were already aware that the access road is relatively steep and unpaved. Not a problem for us, but may be a drawback to some who aren't used to mountain roads."

"The drive up to the property was about a skinny as any other Cabin around. But the destination was way more magical. Like steeping into a childhood fantasy. Incredibly cool structure and felt very secluded. Hot tub was lovely after long day on the lake. Kitchen had all the necessary pots and utensils for a nice dinner and breakfast. The back porch was huge and we ate outside with the beautiful weather we were blessed with during our stay. The ladder to the bed was a little precarious going down so don’t forget your phone once you get to bed."

"The pictures do not do the cabin justice, it is very spacious and comfortable. The cabin is in a great location that feels secluded but it is only a few minutes from Deep Creek and downtown Bryson City.The kitchen was nicely stocked with pots and pans if you want to cook instead of eating out. The grill and fire pit also come in handy. My family loved making s’mores and hanging out around the fire pit.Just an FYI the WiFi isn’t great but there is Dish Network on all of the tvs and Verizon works well in the house."

"This was a very beautiful cabin. It was very clean and well taken care of. The driveway was a little rough but luckily we had a 4wheel drive. Other than that I would highly recommend checking this place out it’s very peaceful and relaxing."

"They cabin was great, awesome view. The one lane road getting to the cabin was a bit scary the first couple times. We met a truck pulling a trailer halfway up the road and had to back down a long way before we found a place to pull over. For an inexperienced driver on a road like that would be horrifying. Please put in your description of cabin about the road leading to the cabin. Also owners number wasn’t listed on the Vrbo email to contact. I thought I was on wrong road until the guy in truck told me there were cabins up the road."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Shakonohey “tent” in July’26. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked to cook a few meals. Bathroom had some luxury upgrades and I really need that tub in my life going forward! Things to know: it is a steep drive on a (mostly one lane) gravel road. Just the one parking place and about 8 steps down to the deck. You have elevation but surrounded by trees, so no mountain vista here. There are several of the other tents within sight and we had a few noisy neighbors which was annoying but minor. Very close drive to Bryson City and restaurants, shops and GSMRR. The National Park is a stones throw from our road with great hikes and tubing. Owner checked in with us throughout our stay and was easy to reach. Very easy checkout, fewer tasks than I’ve had at other places. It was a fun and different place to stay, would recommend."
