"Liked the staff, lobby and front porch of the hotel with the available rockers. Liked the coffee availability in the lobby but think you should consider a complimentary grab and go breakfast such as assorted yogurts, bananas and packaged bakery products that guest could grab for a quick fill up before exploring the area if they so desire. Room was just okay to me. Did not like the carpet block tile flooring in the room and also did not like the outdated bathroom fixtures including the older toilet that did not flush very well. Room could definitely stand an upgrade but overall still had a nice stay!"

"The room was good for the price. Location is convenient to the Harrah’s Convention Center. The continental breakfast consisted of waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, danishes, juices, tea, and coffee. I learned that no food, wrapped or unwrapped, should be left on the desk because ants have a powerful sense (e.g., even after putting my leftover salad in the fridge, they kept appearing, searching for their meal). I did make the desk clerk aware and suggested extermination for that room."

"Staff was good, a/c did NOT work in the room making a long, restless night of trying to sleep. Thermostat was turned down to 60, but, the room felt hotter than the hallways. "

"Parking was easy, room was clean, air conditioning worked well. Our room had balcony with river view which was so serene & beautiful! Not much options for breakfast though, very very basic. Overall good for 1 night stay."

"Nice and clean and comfy! We had everything we needed. We stayed for the WCU graduation and the location was perfect because we were close enough to WCU while being able to avoid the crowds in Sylva. I had my parents with me and dad doesn’t do stairs anymore, so this worked out great because there is a ramp from the gravel driveway to the kitchen door and everything is on one level, including the porch overlooking the river. Bring k-cups so you can have your coffee out there!Bonus for nature lovers: there are some fabulous flowering shrubs and trees around the property, great bird watching, and we were greeted along the road by a family of elk!"

"I really loved my stay at the “Love Nest”. Everything was extremely clean and for me it was all about the relaxing view of the water from the porch. When I was there I spent the majority of my time sitting on that porch staring out at the river. The porch overlooks the calmer part of the water so it looks a bit like a lake more than a section of river with rapids. The serenity of sitting out there among the trees and water is definitely the selling point of this place. The cabin has a lot of positives! It is a really cool property with a lot of personality. For me it everything was perfectly fine, but my wife has some back issues and a simple thing like a recliner or some kind of comfortable seating option in the room would have really gone a long way and been a game changer for her. There are only hard wood chairs to sit in or the bed. And unfortunately the bed was just a bit too soft for her as well as she needs a firmer mattress w her issues. A few little upgrades in those categories would definitely be big. I would say this property would be best suited for a young couple who are active or for one person who isn’t as worried about a bad back ;o) Aside from that I really enjoyed my time. and I had such a restful/relaxing feeling there which is exactly what I was hoping for! I hope to come back again in the future!!! "
