"The property was cute and quaint. If using GPS, it was a little difficult to find. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The air conditioning unit worked. It would’ve been nice for the air conditioning unit to have been on when I arrived so that the room wouldn’t have been as hot, but that’s just a minor thing. The hot tub wasn’t working when I was there, but that was OK with me as I wouldn’t have used it, but if that’s something that you would pick the location for, you just might want to make sure that it’s working. The room had a fan on the ceiling and a table fan, which was nice addition along with the air conditioning unit. I would stay there again."

"We loved this house in the trees! We love being secluded and surrounded by nature and this did not disappoint. You can’t get fresher produce than large avocado tree and the banana farm right on the property! John is very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed our daily conversations with him, always initiated by us, learning about the area and getting great recommendations for things to do. Would stay here again."

"The cottage was perfect for a couple. Kitchen was stocked with useful items to allow cooking and eating on site. Sydney was a great host and communicated with us through the tsunami scare in August 2025. She was even gracious enough to let us have additional family members over during the evacuation, as they were staying at a resort on the coast. The land is lovely, and the story of how she and her husband have rehabilitated it into what it is today is inspiring. Our only minor gripes were proximity to a semi-busy road and lack of A/C, but our 3 nights here were the highlight of our whole 2 week Hawaii trip. We would definitely stay again. Mahalo, Sydney!"
