I enjoyed staying here. The staff were friendly, and everyone was respectful in the dormitory. Walking distance from public transportation. Very convenient.

For a first timer travelling solo in Japan and with no Japanese knowledge, this place surely made me feel very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and kind enough assist me when i needed help. The location is very strategic and the accommodation is excellent! Maybe thats why i got up late, bcos i was getting too comfortable 😅. Super clean and spacious. They definitely know how to run an inn. Thanks so much for having me stay there. Highly recommended!!!!

It's super convenient location wise, incredibly Close to the main station and has lots of tram stops nearby as well. The capsule had an actual mattress which is a big change from other hostels that offer foutons only, so I got to sleep comfotably. The staff were very helpful and they are always happy to provide recommendations of where to eat, which was great!

For the price the stay is really good, there was a place to lock valuables at the head of the bed though if you have larger suitcases and are paranoid about leaving them in a shared room you might want to leave them in a coin locker at the very-close-by station. Overall the bed was perfectly comfy, everything was clean, and the price value was unmatched.

Amazing stay !
Stay was amazing. It's a fabulous hostel, with superb beds ! Staff is very friendly too. Very close to South exit of JR Hiroshima station. Would definitely recommend and also stay again.

Friendly staff, cleanest hostel, great location!
Only stayed for one night, but I remember the staff being so friendly and helpful! Everything was extremely clean and presentable – easily the cleanest hostel on my two and a half week trip. Very close to Hiroshima Station and many okonomiyaki options within walking distance. FamilyMart across the street made morning konbini breakfast really convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Happy little hostel
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great little bar inside hostel. Good vibe and very homely. Comfy bed but automatic lights were a bit annoying with lots of people coming in and out of the room. Great location if you’re not staying for long, with train station 5 mins away and lots of public transport on the doorstep.

So helpful
I just want to leave my first review to say how happy I am that they managed to cover up for my mistake when I accidentally booked an only women dormitory bed as a man. I was allowed to leave my luggage there even though I had to find something else and when I came back there was a spot open in the mixed dormitory! In general it is super cozy and clean.

One of my favourite hostels in Japan
The place is relatively new and modern. I love the shelving and locker in the sleep pods (bring your own lock or you can rent a lock). The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful.

Lovely Tatami Room !
Pretty place. Each compartment was built with thick wall so I could sleep well. Ajoining cafe serves fresh coffee and soy beans khumus toast. It deserves to order. 3 min fron station. Conbini is 1 min frim the place. Tatami room at entrance has good lineuo of manga and round table, that is so relaxed mood

Best guesthouse I’ve stayed in
It was an excellent place to stay! The accommodation was cute, the service was excellent, it’s basically around the corner from the station too. The girl at reception offered to give me sightseeing recommendations and that was so helpful as I hadn’t researched anything before! She was so friendly and helpful, it was a great welcome to Hiroshima. Definitely the best guesthouse/hostel I’ve stayed in.

Comfy bed, great showers and location, thin walls
Stayed in a private double room which was small but the bed was super comfy and the heating had been put on just right and heated the room perfectly. Shared showers/toilets were excellent and kept clean but the walls are quite thin (we could hear someone snoring in the dorm/room next to us + people using the hair dryers at midnight - perhaps having signs up asking guests not to use these items past a certain time would be good!) Location was great - Street car stops almost right outside the guest house and a few minutes walk to the train station. Very kind staff and a little cafe downstairs that looked lovely! Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Great place and great location
Akicafe Inn Guesthouse was great. It was very clean and comfortable. It was super close to the train station, so you only have to walk maybe 3 min to get there. That made it easy to get around. It was a little strange having the sink for the bathroom out in the open next to the common area, but it was no problem. If I were to go back to Hiroshima, I'd stay here again

Stayed 2 nights, nice enough, shared rooms, comfortable bed. Close to the streetcars and train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The shared space (kitchen, bathroom. Etc) were a bit cramped but workable. I would stay here again.

Very close to Hiroshima Station
Very nice hostel, staff keep it very clean, however it is quite small, with 6 mixed beds and 6 female. Mostly frequented by Japanese but I did meet a few travellers. Overall all the services and ammenities are available, and the hostel is super convenient for exploring Hiroshima (next to tram lines) or the surrounding region (JR line is next to the hostel).

Really nice small guesthouse. Staff is really kind and friendly. Just 2 shared rooms, so it does not feel crowded, and luckily not noisy either.

This was my first time in a hostel and I was really worried about it at first. But the place was very clean, checkin and checkout was simple, the shared washroom and showers were clean, the place was close to the station, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I would recommend this place for any budget traveller. It also felt really safe. The only cons I can think of is that the check-in time/front staff availability is limited to between 4-10PM. So it was not possible to drop off luggage before check in. Also, there was no storage space for larger suitcases. Finally, the fridge had a bad rotten smell.

Lifesaving Hospitality Hiroshima!
The bunk rooms were smelly because of another guest so that made things unpleasant but the staff saved me in a big way and allowed me a cash advance on my credit card when i was having pin number problems with my new card. This was a total emergency that they were so amazing to help me with so i could move to my next destination!! The hostel is right next to all the major sites including walking to the train station.

Excellent Staff and Excellent Guest House!
The people running the guesthouse are very helpful, from the time you check in till your check out. Always willing to help you with anything. Also the hotel is very close to the memorial and this has proven very good since I am planning to write a novel based on the history of Hiroshima and the tragic bomb experienced by the people. Hiroshima really inspired me to go ahead and write the novel,and gave me the feel of the suffering essence, that would give my book the objective view of the pain and suffering of the people of Hiroshima : 8:15 AM, on August the 6th of 1945.

Great Experience
This was a wonderful experience. The staff were very kind and got us checked in and acquainted with the facilities. The facilities are simple, but more than enough for a comfortable stay. There is even a big tv with Nintendo games and a machine that makes pretty good single cups of coffee! Free, fast wifi too. The staff chatted with us for quite a while, very friendly and amazing English. Would stay again, absolutely.

Not that bad for 1st dorm experience
The location is convenient as its really near to the hiroshima stn. The place is clean, staff spoke english and they have all the necessary amenities even ear plugs, hair straightener and curler. The female dorm is a little stuffy and not much ventilation once you close the bunk curtain and/or the section door. The mix dorm is actually just 1 foot step away so not much different as a mix dorm if you ask me. The bed itself is comfortable and spacious. Its my 1st dorm experience, i'd say overall its a nice place. Just not for everybody. Expect to be as quiet as a mouse when you dig through your belongings/luggage as any sound could cause disturbance to your roomies. You can also feel/hear every toss and turn and snore of the upper deck or opp bunk bed. Would be a nicer touch if staff could offer a little more smiles ;)

Just 5 minutes walk from Hiroshima station and street car terminals. The location is excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly and the hostel is clean with good amenities. For 3000 yen/night the value cannot be beaten. Considering its location near the station, a street car stop and a major building site the hostel is incredibly quiet. Local restaurants are plentiful. I recommend the okonomiyaki restaurant just 3 minutes walk away - go to the right outs of the main door, turn right at the main road and follow the road around and it is on one of the corners. They have an explanation of the menu in English.

Clean rooms, nice staff, excellent location that only takes a 3 min walk to the Hiroshima station. Series of comic books available in the guesthouse, and there is even a working Super-Famicom free to play!!

Nice Hostel Close to Hiroshima Train Station
I booked this last minute as I was going to miss the last train to my destination. I arrived late and the lady that greeted me spoke English and was very nice. The hostel/guesthouse was very clean, cozy, and the neighborhood around the train station felt safe at 12AM.. There are separate men's and women's dorm rooms. However, the walls of the rooms doesn't go all the way to the ceiling, so you are going to hear both sides. The rooms were not ventilated, so it was a bit stuffy. The bed was very comfortable for Japanese standards, the common areas and bathrooms very clean, and they even had a laundry area.

Ideal location; a "dormitory" style experience
As a middle aged woman wanting a safe comfy place to stay, this was ideal. Very clean, warm & safe. Literally 3 minutes from the main train station by foot, I was well taken care of. Some staff spoke English, very welcoming. A nice chance to experience a Japanese style "youth hostel", to observe communal style / dormitory experience. Hot water, showers, internet, clothes washing opportunities, thick comforter on the bed. The tram, right on the next street, goes to the Peace Park. For anyone wanting a simple place to stay while exploring Hiroshima, this was perfect, and certainly cost effective!

I had a great time.
It look me a a little while to locate but once I checked in I found they had many comforts to be used. The first think I noticed is that is was very small but that made it quite fun as well. The night I stayed me and the other guest (6 in total) hung out in the common area which is open all night. Maybe it's because I'm new to traveling but swapping story and playing video games, which they provided, was a fun experience. The hostel was also nice and clean. The only down side is the location as it became a little loud when the front door was open. the surrounding areas was busy, but it was located close to the JR station which was very nice. Overall it enjoyed my stay.

I imaged "backpackers" before I stayed but it was far better than that. The guest house itself is small, quiet and very clean. Each bed has a small reading light and outlets. There were shampoo and conditioner in the shawer, even face wash and towel as well. 3mns walk from Hiroshima station, 15scd from Enkohbashi streetcar stop.
