"The room was clean & the cleaning staff was very good about coming through on a daily basis to ensure that the room was clean & tidy. The people at the front desk were friendly & helpful, providing advice on how to make my stay more comfortable & convenient, as well as the food options & attractions in the area. The hotel itself did not offer many amenities beyond a clean room & safe facilities overall. While it was a bit overpriced for the location & what you get, I've found that the price is very consistent for Amsterdam."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Hoxton, Lloyd. It’s in a more residential part of Amsterdam, which was a nice escape from the chaos of the city center while still being easy to get around. The building is older and a little quirky, with a very cool mod-inspired design. That also means narrow hallways and air conditioning that may have its limits during hotter weather, but the temperature was completely manageable during our stay. Personally, I liked the funkiness of the building. It has a lot more personality than your standard hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. I’m not usually someone who feels strongly enough about scrambled eggs to mention them in a hotel review, but these were genuinely the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. We also had cocktails at the bar in the evenings, and they were consistently well made. If you prefer a cookie-cutter hotel, this probably isn’t the place for you. If you like older buildings with some character, a quieter location, great food, and a good bar, it’s a very easy place to recommend."

"The only downside is the entrance the stairs with suitcases for seniors was a little hard toa accomplished and there is no help from the hotel staff. Breakfast was very good a good variety of food."

"Everyone that worked at the hotel was very helpful, friendly and personable. The thing we did not like was there was a 2 - 4 inch topper mattress that was put over the mattress on the bed. The topper was not the correct size and it moved around. You couldn't sit on the edge of the bed without sliding off and the sheet kept coming off."
